Falafel

SYLLABICATION: fa·la·fel

VARIANT FORMS: or fe·la·fel

NOUN: 1. Ground spiced chickpeas shaped into balls and fried. 2. A sandwich filled with such a mixture.

ETYMOLOGY: Arabic falfil, pl. of filfil, pepper, probably from Sanskrit pippal. See pepper.


There are hundreds of recipies online - find one you like and try it. Just don't use peanut butter...USE TAHINI!

i always hear about them, but i dont know anywhere that has them to get...what kind of a place would sell them?

Them gyro places and mediterranean palces usually have them.

I've tried several recipies myself and they just never seem to turn out as good as the just add water, dried stuff mix I buy at the bulk barn

and for people wanting to try falafels, and all the other crazy good stuff it will be accompanied by on the menu with, you need to find yourself a lebenease restaurant

oh and if ya like I can hook you up with practically any other lebenease recipie, falafel is really the only one I havn't figured out yet
