OK, so I've been waiting 6 years for the Boys to come back to Portland, because I missed it for some reason long forgotten when they came for the Hello Nasty tour. So, even though they announced going to Seattle, which is a drive I've done before and have no problem doing again, I hold out thinking they'll be coming to Portland. And as the days go by, it's becoming less and less likely that it's going to happen. So, then I see today that those production seats are released and I can still get General Admission seats to see them in Seattle. So, I check my schedule and see that I can go but I have a few errands to run in the afternoon. When I get back, what do I find? All General Admission seats are gone and I'm left with sitting back in section 115. What's the point of going to a concert if you're not gonna be up close standing and rocking with the band?

So I know I speak for a lot of people when I say, come to Portland and cure me of my misery (although I doubt a lot of people want you to come just to cure MY misery). But I don't want to slight people. Go to the towns where there are no shows nearby. Like Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, Kansas City, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, hell, even Boise. Don't slight these cities and go to towns that I can't point out on a map like Fairfax, VA. I just want the nation to have an equal chance to share in the experience that is the Beastie Boys. But more than that, I just want to go to a freakin' Beastie Boys concert because I've never been to one!!! I don't want you to think that I'm trying to tell you what to do, because I'm not, just please hear my plea, and consider it. Thank you.

I feel sorry for you, but don't diss Fairfax. Consider it their DC show (I go to GMU, so I'm stoked).

If having excellent tix was such a priority to you, you should have foregone your errands and been on the phone/computer busting your chops to get them the second they became available. This is what everyone else who really cares does.

Sorry, you won't get any sympathy here.

or go to EBAY! it's the beasties. don't settle for your section 115.

If you go to ebay right now someone is selling GA Floors for Seattle for $49.00 each and it isn't an auction....you can use the Buy It Now feature...Go...Run...Run....Go!!

Hey, guys, thanks for the idea and not trashing me except for that one person who will remain nameless. I got tix on ebay, and since I'm getting a ride and not paying for parking, it comes out cheaper than it would've been anyway.

I agree. There is no one that you should be angry with other than yourself. I'm from Eugene and I got ticket for the Portland show way back when and didn't complain about them not coming to my little town. If you were really waiting for 6 years you would have snapped up the Seattle tickets first thing...like I did. No sympathy here. Glad things worked out, but I kind of think you are a big whiner and no errands should have kept you from getting the tickets.

Haha i remember hearing about the denver date and then getting presale pass from the radio station and setting the alarm and sitting there waiting for the second tix went on sale xD. Yah if you don't want bad seats you "camp" those tix out! And get at the show 5 hrs early xD. Otherwise you can't complain. But if you miss out check out other avenues! Glad to see you got tix ebay style! GET THERE EARLY all that waiting is more worth it than you know

No no, don't get there early...you've probably got tons of errands to do...and that's what is really important right? Why don't you do a bunch of errands before the show, and then show up at the show time. I'll bet you'll be back here posting about how you're mad, sad, disappointed, angry and ticked off that you had to stand in the exit doorway.

Hey, fuck all y'all, I got tickets and I probably paid less than you did, so go fuck yourselves. I wasn't saying that I was mad at anybody, I was just venting. Jesus H. Christ, grow up kids.

Hmm, looks like you haven't grown up enough to use smarter words. I digress. Now you can whine about how we've all made fun of you. :p

Why do you have to put me down? Do you think you're special just because you got tix when they actually came out? It's sad that you have to hide behind your computer and brag about how you have no responsibilities and put people down that do. Sorry for having a life. Jeez.

they haven't been back to Norfolk, VA (VA BEACH) since 1992...and until last weekend I hadn't seen them since then..so I flew to San Diego just for their show there since I knew I would be out of town for most of their tour and that was the only date I could make...I had nosebleed bleach seats but it was still the Beasties and that's all that mattered to me.

FYI: you should know better that people are gonna flame the shit out of you when you write stuff like that! (n)

The point is you still get to see the band, stupid. When all's said and done, wouldn't you prefer to see them over not seeing them? While it's nice to be close, I your attitude of "if I can't be up front, I won't see them at all!" is a little Lionel Bitchie.
