I am very familar with the Erwin center and Austin.

i just went to a show there last night; ie.. they dont sell beer after 8:55. (n)

I got the skinny on directions, parking, floor tix, which entrance is close to what section, and where the beer stands and bathrooms are located -vs- sections.

Last night was cool, and i figured out where my friends seats are, and how they will be able to see me on the floor...

So, lets make this the Official Austin 10-22 Thread,,, and get this mother fucking Party Started RIOGHT!

Hey, I have a question for you about the venue in Austin, How close can you get to the actual stage where they will be performing?

I went to a concert one time in Shreveport, and it was a good 5 feet from the floor seats to the stage. Is the Erwin center closer than that? Thanks!

the floor is GA and has no seats, therefore the stage is about 6 ft away from the rail/helpers at the front (lb) ..

are you on the floor too?


then off the floor ROWS 1-15 are like pull out bleachers.....the then next rows are seperated by a rail...

Erwin center will be the brown building in front of you.

I'm so jealous! I'm from Austin (I'm in the UK now) and I wanted so badly to see them there, but I recently found out they're gonna be in Glasgow so of course I just bought tickets. I have to go by myself though cuz I don't know anyone here yet, but I seriously don't care. Oh by the way all you Austinites-don't take for granted the simple things like mac and cheese, warm days by town lake, and cars that aren't all freaky. Don't get me wrong, Scotland is gorgeous, but I miss my home (especially Bob Schneider) :o

last time the beastie boys were in austin, you didnt get arrested for taking pictures of the governors mansion,(bush used to live there), the state capitol, and/or mansfield damn. :rolleyes:

I was there on the floor in the "Pro-War" t-shirt. Great concert, crappy politics. Of course there was some idiot there with a "F--- Bush" shirt on. He was eventually kicked out for trying to fight everyone. All in all great show. The most amazing feat was the BBoys running from the stage to the top of the Frank Erwin Center, singing and then sprinting back down to the stage to perform again w/ out missing a beat. (y)

Man... i thought i had bad seats till then.... couldent see the screens cause the speakers were in the way... it ruled... they ran up right next to where i was sitting... no more then arms reach away!

That was so awesome how they gave the mezzanine some love!! Although that was not where I was, it was fun to see. I thought someone may fall overboard, people were running along the opposite side of the railing and it packed up ther reall quick...Crazy fun, fucking badass. I also like the way that they incorporated the videos, classic shit.

Yeah... it was packed... I started right at the rail near the staff guy... by the end of the song I was knocked almost all the way down to the 1st row... I tried my hardest to get someone to gimme a 5 or something... but the only thing I got was some eye contact w/ mike d i think... cant remember who it was.. was to wild!! =)
