4) Rock & Roll!
5) A sexually permissive society!

12) A shining beacon of hope for immigrants to start a better life (I'd know this very well since my Polish grandparents emigrated to Canada, sure not the States, but the end result is the same)

1- proliferation of accolades. perfect attendance, planting a tree, buttoning your shirt properly, you name it, there is a certificate of appreciation that will laud you for it.
2- reliable infrastructure.
3- relatively easier/better access to wealth, tho i've yet to see this proven for myself. but people tell me things.
4- it's engendered kurt vonnegut, coltrane and the beatsies. now that's alright.
5- it really does try to fix its shortcomings and accomodate everyone, however slow the process may seem. the snail's pace can be a bane, but volatility would be chaos, right?
