Hey all! I had a freakin blast at last night's show!

The first thing that made it awesome..was that MCA came out to the street while we were waiting in line to get in. We were standing next to this dude who was being really loud and kinda obnoxious..when the video request guy came by to tape peoples requests for the show..the guy went off about how his friend had just waited on MCA at a restaurant and they had comped his dinner but he stiffed them on the tip. We were all just thinking: "bullshit". well about 15 minutes later.. MCA comes out walks up to dude and hands him a $20 and says he wants to clear things up. It was hilarious! I was standing right there. I couldn't believe that MCA was standing just inches away from me! It's funny that the most annoying guy in line turned out to be awesome for getting us all a little closer to MCA. So for the first time ever I'll say: "god bless the loud-mouth freaks!"

They put on a great show. I they gave us a great blend of old and new. I was stoked to see them break out the intruments. If you're wondering what the set list was like it was almost identical to the posts I've seen for the LA/long beach shows. I have no complaints. They did thier encore from the audience in the balcony too! I was really happy withthe size of BG Auditorium. it's small enough that you can see well from almost anywhere. We were in front for the begining of the show..but we were getting shoved around alot and I started to feel clostrophobic and decided to move back where there was more air.

Mix Master Mike was also awesome! It blew my mind that in one session he was actually bending the vinyl to get his affect. really cool.

Anyone going to the second show tonight...get ready to have a great time!

I love you beasties! :p

When MCA came out, the whole front of the line started freaking out! (I was the third person in that liine) He told us all to "Shhh" cuz he didn't want to make a big scene. He shook everyone's hand and was just amazing. Also, during the concert I threw my White Castle hat onto the stage and Adrock picked it up, read it, and wore it during the next song. Later on that night, MCA wore it with those white sunglasses. It was, by far, the best concert/event/anything I've ever been to. Everyone have a kick-ass time tonight. It will be amazing!

I went last night, also had an AMAZING time. The Beasties were in FULL EFFECT. This reminded me very much of a show I attended during the Hello Nasty tour in 1998, only possibly better. The energy of SF was in full effect.

I think some of the highlights for me (and most others) were:

1) Hello Brooklyn
2) An Open Letter to NYC
3) Brass Monkey
4) Intergalactic (the little stage in the mezzaine was tight!)
4) Sabotoge (Ad Rock sounded really good, he didn't lose his voice)

And then when they did Time to Get Ill, they used some funky beat behind it, I think it was from another track off LTI. Anyway, it was SLAMMIN and MMM was totally on point, he'd break off the beats and scratch a little, and the Beasties was totally in sync with him.

Also, the guy who claimed MCA never tipped his friend in LA was a RIOT! And my friend saw that guy on BART later on. Dude had girls all over him, lucky fuck! haha..

hey! I can't wait for tonight's show - I haven't seen them in SOOO LONG!

Anyway, I've got sort of a lame question but since the BG tends to start their shows early: what time did the BB's go on??

THANKS!!! and I hope to see you all rockin' and representing tonight! ;)

Actually they didn't do Time to Get Ill, it was Posse In Effect, and they did change up the music for the first two versus but it wasn't anything I recognized. Still though your right MMM was good and that is the first time I've heard them play P I E live. Hello Brooklyn and Eggman were highlites also.

I will say this I was in the center about 20' from the stage and there are just some GUYS that need to be Donkey Punched and left for the rats. I mean come on, barrelling through a full house elbows extended just knockin' people around, including girls, WTF? Figures that this one dude had a Metallica shirt on at a Beastie show. Just do me favor for those going tonight when you get slammed by one of these macho manly jock studs who are re-living their high school football games...steal their hats. Most had on the new Beastie hat they were selling and I saw two get snatched right off these guys heads.......now that's funny!

Oh man, I HEAR YOU. I was about 15' away from the left corner of the stage, and like 2-4 big motherfuckers come stomping through to get to the front, pushing their way through. I was drunk and pissed, I was about to do something but then my friend stopped me. One of them looked over and was like "C'mon man, it's all good". ALL GOOD? Dude, you don't need to slam through the crowd to get through, jeez..

Oh well, I guess I sound like a rotten old fucker with my whining. See you at the show later, keep it Beastie!
