thanks for the reply. and, i got a question for you if you don't mind.

for some reason, when i make beats with fruity loops or something they sound pretty fast at 92 bpm or something, but when i want to put an a capella on top of it it's often like 115 bpm or something and the beat sounds way too fast. when i put an a capella on top of it that is about 95-100 bpm the beat sounds good but it sounds too fast for the song. like, it's not out of sync but it just doesn't sound right. i want the beat to be more calm without changing the bpm.

did that make sense? maybe I'm just filling too many notes or something?

Are you aligning up the acappella in FL too? or you using Acid or something foe that?
In FL you can't make a beat that is say 95bpm and expect it to play in time with an acappella which runs at say 115bpm (I'm sure you know this already - I hope).

no i use acid align to them.

i mean: the beat sounds pretty fast at about 95 bpm, so i would expect it to fit with a fast song. but when i open an a capella in acid, it says for instance the tempo of the a capella is 110. so then i put my beat on it and change the bpm to 110 so that it fits the a capella. when i do this everything is in sync of course, BUT it sounds a little weird. i mean a 100 bmp beat will sound different when you put the kick on every note instead of each 4th note. so maybe that's what i'm doing wrong.
