The beatie boys are with out a doubt the reason I love music today, they were my first fav and I've tried to follow them over the years but my taste in music has evolved since hello nasty and gone full circle and then some so I'm wondering if I want to drop the cash on my first live beasties show
my question (s) is (are); is it worth my $50+ to go and see them live when they play Toronto, given the fact that I'm not exactly a current die hard fan? How much of the show is live instrumentation (check your head and ill communication is my fav shiat)? what's the atmosphere like at a Beasties show? does anyone know if someone is opening for them? What is the ACC like for shows (being an adament Habs fan I've never stepped foot in the place, or the gardens for that matter)?

Pay the money and go. You won't be disappointed.
You can appreciate hearing the songs as well as the talent they carry as musicians.

Check out the threads here on the various shows and you'll see how people have felt about the tour and what the atmosphere is like. All I can say is, it would be a serious shame to miss them. My musical taste is constantly evolving and is very eclectic, but the Beastie Boys are a constant always. When I need a lift, I know who to spin in my CD player. I have been a huge fan since the Paul's Boutique days and they never fail to put a big grin on my face with each new album and every show I've seen. GO TO THE SHOW! :D Oh, and (y) on being a Habs fan, especially in LaffsLand! Good on ya!

It will definitely be worth going. Besides the Beasties (who I listen to on a daily basis) I listen to absolutely zero hip hop. I used too, but the older I get my musical taste has greatly changed. Even if you are going only for the instrumental stuff it will be well worth seeing it live.

Definitely go to the concert. It's not like they tour every year. This may be the last tour...but hopefully not.

Go see the Boys my friend...you will be glad you did. Listen to me now and believe me later...

thanks for the arm twisting guys
I only hesitate because being a dirt poor student I need to be wise on what shows I drop cash on, I just splurged a good months worth of fun money on a Jack Johnson show about a week ago so I'm a little weary
