I'm not sure if he's backed up or not. The last PM I got from him said that he'd be uploading Seattle today or tomorrow since those are his days off. So hopefully the Vancouver show is ready by Thursday, but the guy sounds really busy with work so I wouldn't be surprised if it was a few more days.

I'm not trying to get anyones hopes down or up, just being realistic. I hope I'm completely wrong and we see Vancouver before then, but I understand what its like having work up to your eyeballs.

Wow, people are off the hook over this! You guys should be throwing all the credit at Freedom Toast though. I'm only hosting it. He's the one who snuck his gear in, recorded it, transfered it to his mac, went through it, split it up into songs, compressed it, and transfered it to my server between working long hours. Best of all he decided to share it. If you're a collector of rare tracks and bootlegs, sharing stuff doesn't necessarily make your recording so unique anymore so you gotta give the guy a lot of credit. He doesn't know anyone on here from a hole in the ground and never had to come clean with his recordings if he didn't want to so its good we're letting Freedom Toast know how much we appreciate this and we should continue to do so because he's also going to be sharing his Vancouver recording too.

I'll post the download stats tomorrow, for anyone who's interested in how many people picked up a copy of FT's bootleg.

I just did a quick count but as of 11:59pm Pacific time yesterday, there were about 60 complete downloads. My stats for today won't refresh till the same time tonight, but I imagine it will be a lot larger than that number considering it was posted for download around 5 o clock yesterday.

If I excede my daily bandwidth limitations (5 gigs a day), I have another place I can host till this server comes back online.

I've been a fan since I was around 12 (I'm 24 now), and at some point in my life I made going to a Beastie Boys concert one of the things I wanted to do before I died, but more likely, something I wanted to do before they retired. So, living in Saskatchewan in 1998 I wasn't able to get out to Vancouver. I was really pissed I missed that concert; thinking it might be their last. So when they announced the date for this concert I was totally broke, but determinned to go. The shitty thing was I had temporarily moved back to Saskatoon. Anyways I scrounged up enough cash to fly out there and I don't regret any of it. This bootleg is a great souvenier for a concert that meant a lot in terms of my overall dedication to the Beastie's music.

Yeah Freedom Toast had talked down the quality of Vancouver to me too so I wasn't expecting anything this good! :)

Some songs even sound better than Seattle in my opinion, but that might just be my bias speaking. :)

The site went down because shitloads of people are downloading the mixes and it uses up the daily bandwidth I'm alloted for my hosting package.

The server will be back up @ 12am PST.

I am contantly updating which server is hosting the downloads. Its sort of an annoying and time consuming juggling act which I'm hoping won't be necessary once most of the big beasties fans get their hands on a copy.

If I were you, I'd direct people at the message board you posted on to that thread I listed above. They can get the latest status on how to get a copy there. There's also a lot of copies out on the hub.

I only have stats for the markmademedia server and I haven't really analyzed how much bandwidth went to Seattle and Vancouver seperately, but combined there has been about 700 complete downloads. That doesn't include the backup download server which was taking the place of the main server (while it was down) for a good portion of the first three or four days after the Vancouver show was released by Freedom Toast. And of course that doesn't count the sharing on the hub, torrents, or other file sharing programs.

That's pretty successful distribution in my opinion. Everyone who downloaded a copy is now a potential seed to share it with others.
