I'm interested in the size of the venues they play (especially in europe, but for comparison also in the US). I've checked some:

Düsseldorf-Philipshalle: 7500 standing

Berlin-Max Schmeling Halle: something between 4.040 and 11950

Munich-Zenith: 3003 m², 74m long, 39m broad, capacity:5500

most of the east coast (US) venues are between 15-25,000 with a mix of stading room(pit) and seating. Im not familiar with many of the west coast venues, but i believe they are selling out similar size venues...or at least packing them in fairly well. im guessing outside of the UK..the venues will be slightly to less smaller based on the fan base. Wish i was back in Amsterdam for the Dec shows..and it's a quick trip to Brussels from there....enjoy, Im jealous.

damn right, it's bigger than yours, I could teach you, but I'd have to charge.

Been to a couple of gigs at Wembley and Manchester arenas before.

They both have standing on the floor then some quite high tiered seating around (not good if you don't like heights like me)
I think Manchester holds around 18,000 and wembley holds about 12,000

The place they played in San Francisco held 7000 people. Usually the bands that play there are like A Perfect Circle or Weezer or Green Day, bands that are pretty big but can't really fill a 15,000 seat basketball arena on their own. The Beasties sold out two nights there so I think they could've easily played a bigger venue, but it worked out better this way

it's interesting to see that in comparison. we have venues like this also, even in austria, but they wouldn't pay off for "alternative acts"-even when they're very famous. just people like britney fill those venues. So most of the concerts on this european tour will be approx. 5000-7000 people i guess (except england). good for us :)
also it's not usual to have seating - just floor tix (who would want to sit on a beastie concert - except if you're far away from the stage)
