I may put up a link to an ebay auction I am about to start for Floor tickets to the ATL show.

My cost for the tickets were $54 each from ticket master (ticket cost, ticketmaster fee, shipping). I bought extra tickets for friends, but they were able to get tickets as well.

I am going to start the auction at cost, but if the auction goes above cost, I could see the moderator of the board removing the link.

But, it is NOT illegal in GA to sell tickets for more than what you paid for them. The scalping laws in GA have been changed so that you can sell the tickets for whatever the market will allow (free enterprise) just not on the property of where the event is.

Furthermore, if one does not want to pay a set price for a ticket, they will not buy it. If someone really wants the ticket, they will pay what the market will allow in the true spirt of the free market through auction.

Ok, give me some feed back.

Hmm..honestly I dont think a true fan would "buy extra tickets for friends" and then attempt to make a profit from them by soliciting the bands message board. Just my opinion though.

I only expect to get face...but I won't mind to make a few bucks for my trouble.

As I bought the tickets for friends that were able to get tickets, I now need to move outside my own circle to people I don't know.

We are only talking about 4 floor/pit tickets to the ATL show. I am no pro scalper.

You're a scumbag for trying to make a profit no matter how "legal" it is in GA. Believe in good karma and sell the tickets for face value. Someday someone will offer you the same down the road.

'scumbag' than a stinky hippie. Damn, does anyone here work for a for profit company or do all of you just protest wars and sell love beads.

Shameful.

Ok, give me some feed back.

Shouldnt ask for feed back if you cant handle the negative comments. And tell you what...when you go get yourself a job at Ticketmaster...then you will have the ok to screw fans by making a profit on ticket sales.

'yes, post your ebay link here so fans who want to get on the floor at the ALT show can get a shot at it'

Where the Fuck are you getting hippie from. I see you're from the ATL so that makes you a redneck right?! "Open up your ears and clean out your eyes" (MCA-Alive). My point is that you obviously don't have a clear clue in your head that selling extra tix for more than their worth is shady business. Placing anything on EBAY for bid is SHADY business. Depriving any true Beastie fan the opportunity to see the boys at face value for a ticket is.........you quessed it! SHADY Business! So take your circus act elsewhere or I'll recruit some real hippies to throw granola at you.

is how much one will pay for it.

The face value is what should be paid for any ticket, period! What does politcal allegence have to do with any of this? Last I checked the Beasties themselves are anti-Bush. You better watch out what you say on these boards. Smart Kid? HAAAAAAAAAA! How original! Go back and sell some jokes on Ebay along with your tickets.

Its pointless Beantown. Its kind of like arguing with my 8 year old son. Its amusing at first then just becomes frustrating. I just dont understand people that open themselves up by asking for responses and then get upset when its not what they want to hear.

if I post a link to tickets I am going to sell on ebay for face/my cost....and the auction happens to go above face/my cost, is that going to be an issue with the mods? I wasn't looking for your ethical or social/economical/ political opionions.

Below is the second rule in the FAQ about the forum:

Do not sell tickets above their face value. This is called scalping, and it's illegal.

You now have your answer.
