Any suggestions to help me get to the show?

I have been a Beastie Boys fans for years, yadda yadda yadda. I haven't seen them in concert in years either. I was really looking forward to seeing them but the nearest they are coming to Cincinnati is Chicago and Detroit.

I am a single dad and I was saving for the tickets hoping they would announce Cincinnati dates. I finally got enough scrimped together with today's paycheck to buy tix and pay for a sitter but I can't afford the trip to Chicago, hotel and trip back plus a sitter while I am gone and the time I would have to take off from work. I am not looking for hand outs or anything like that, just hoping someone has an idea I haven't thought of.

That's too bad. I guess my only suggestion is to try to get someone in your family to help you with your child or one of your friends. And you could try to get some friends together to go to the show to help you split the cost of gas and hotel.
