Hi all,

I've got my tickets to see the Beasties in London, but unfortunately I didn't hear about the tour dates soon enough so when I called - on the 23rd Sept, Luckily I did get tickets, but they are seated! Its not really something I feel you should sit down to, I mean I dunno how everyone else feels about this but I am a little disappointed if I'm being honest here. But I am well chuffed to be seeing them, even if it is only row 18 on D4!!!

Also whats confusing, I rang on the 23rd cos thats when I checked my email and got the update which I received in my mail box on the 22nd it states presale info wed 22nd and then on sale to the general public Fri 24th Sept - NME mag also states 'tickets on sale 9am Fri 24th Sept' - well thats misleading for people who might wait till then and try and get tickets only to find they've been on sale way before this date! How bad is that. I was abit confused when I read the email so I just rung and lucky I did cos they were on sale already. I dunno maybe I'm just stoopid.

What does everyone else think bout this and the sitting down thing!

Likely, they won't make you sit down or anything, I've been at a bunch of places where you get actual seats and they're like just behind the pit area, and of course no one sits down. Everyone in that section will probably be thinking the same thing as you, no one sits in their damn chair at a rap concert. You'll be fine.

It will be my first time at a concert/gig, whatever you wanna call it so Ive not got much idea.

Thanks

It was the same story for me too. I got seat tickets for the stands to the left of stage cos my buddy who has been there before told me that it was the best place to be besides standing. Its disappointing, but what are ye gonna do. You can probably buy standing tix on Ebay if you're desperate. I think D4 is back pretty far.

i managed to get standing tickets for wembley but still think that the way the gig was handled was a shamble.
they shouldnt have been able to sell ALL the standing tickets in the pre-sale alert (even if they were going to fans) it just aint fair to everyone man!!
still, the boys will be kicking! - i can't wait!! (y)

I heard that Wembley can hold like 55,000, Is that true?, How many tickets are available for this show?

Firstly Wembley (old) stadium could hold around 55,000 but it has been knocked down and a new, bigger one is being built. I think Wembley Arena where the concert is holds more like 10,000.

Secondly I have been to the Arena twice last year, first to see 50 Cent...I did not enjoy the gig a) because 50 cut all his songs down to about 1/2 length and was more interested in stripping down to his pants (for the girlies...inc. my fiancees delight) and not performing very well. b)Worst of all though, our seats were directly to the left of the stage, about 2/3 the way up the banked wall and the acoustics were so bad you could hardly make out which track was being performed.
My second gig was last November for Nelly/St Lunatics, and whatever people might say about him (I don't particularly like his ballads/love songs) his performance was excellent, very much going for the hip hop vibe. My seats were a few rows back from the standing area and had a good view of the stage, you did not get bashed about plus you could sit down during acts, goto the loo, get beer etc. Security were good there for letting us come up into the standing area to take pics on our phones during the perfomance.
So decent seating ain't so bad after all...
Lots of security searches on entering Wembley for 50 Cent so massive queues and def. NO cameras allowed, but no searches AT ALL for Nelly so could have taken a decent digi camera in had i wanted.
Seeing as the Beasties are all about non-violence, as are most of their fans I'm sure, I cannot see too many issues about searches/cameras being confiscated at the door. Just be discrete inside, don't piss anyone (security/band) off and share your pics here!

OUT!

Yeah, we went to see Eminem at MK Bowl in june but 50 Cent was not there on the Sunday, only the Friday so I promised my Fiancee I'd take her to Wembley.
We saw him the evening of the MOBO awards, he was late getting back from there so cut all his songs back to save time, I think shows have to finish by a certain time due to noise laws i think.
We got there quite early, about 5.45 and joined the already long queue only to be told after 30 mins we were in the WRONG queue! Apparently which side of the arena you sit affects which queue u join, we had not been before so did not realise.

Over 2 hours later and we were in...

Flip to Nelly in November and arrive same time...5.45pm...no-one there, we are 1st in queue!

Minton / TPK / etc - anyone know the security arrangements for the B.Boys gig, I don't expect the detail just wanna know if we will be queuing for hours on a cold December night or will we go virtually straight in? I'm to old to carry guns/knives/bombs/eggs etc, tho I may have an extremely dangerous camera phone! This will affect what many people will wear I am sure.

It's pretty standard, but varies slightly from venue to venue. Once the doors open, you pretty much go straight in. Security doesn't take too long to do their thing.

Wembley Arena is the worse venue in London, the sound is awful if your are stuck at the back. Im not going simply because of the venue.

Ive loved the beasties for 15 years and waited this long to see them. To say Im disappointed is an understatment. I was hoping for Brixton Academy.

Seating ??? I dont think so

Weird!
Did u get near the front or like me were u on the slope? Did u have to stand in the queue along the dusty footpath sweating your ass off & did you get hit with one of the bottles that were flying about?

I managed to get my semi-pro digital slr camera in, I had to insist I was not with the press though - got some ok pics from way back!

How many times have you been to Wembley? I do hope the sound is okay for when we see the Beasties! Im not exactly close to the front!

Where bouts do people have tickets anyway? Go on...make me sick. I am so jealous of the people in the standing area, even though I have seating tickets though there is no way I will be using the seat!!!
