Private live show in Atlanta

I recently won some tix to the 10-15 show here in Atlanta but the spectacular bonus is the private "pre-show" done for the 99 winners of the tix. So, I will be in a room with less than 100 people and the best band in world. I am still on a high from the fact I WON. My question is this...the radio station said this is the ONLY private performance the Beastie's are doing. Is this true? I have looked and looked but cannot find anything. Thanks guys!

I seem to recall someone else posting about a similar "private show" in the past week. I'm not sure if it was Atlanta or not.

And I remember someone posting about a radio station in Detroit offering a contest to win the opportunity to play a game of basketball with the Beasties before the Detroit show.

Q101 here in Chicago is giving away tickets to the show and a chance to win a trip to voodoo fest in New Orleans.

Can we get an official word from Beastieboys.com on any special opportunities like this as the tour continues?

They are playing 'she's on it' ...talk about way back. But you win by answering BBoys trivia, they are tough usually cuz they only wanna give tix to "true fanatics". You could essentially win tix outta state, and trust me, if you won, the experience will be worth the trip. :)

Congrats! You in ATL? Yep, they called me already! I can pick them up on Monday - not sure about the seating but I know we get laminates for access! Very very very excited!!!! We are lucky. My question was sing the lyrics for 3 songs.....Shadrach, So Whatcha want and Shazam! But only Shazam on air.....what was your question?

I dont know yet, guess I will find out on Monday. But I think most Live X shows are done in the studio, but I dont know yet. I am DYING to get my hands on these tix. I have my big final exam on the 16th (the following day) so I guess I will have to behave myself (yeah, right!) ;)

Luckily I didn't have to sing - that must have been a morning show that I missed. I just had to name the band that AdRoc was in before the Beasties - The Young and The Useless.

I'm waiting for them to call, hopefully today. I'm anxious to learn all the details of this super prize. When do we get our Laminates? When do we get the live CD? Are the concert tix better than the ones I bought?

I am guessing that the sales of the recording of this private show will go towards charity which might be how 99x managed to snag the BBoys. I did find out that the Live X is being held at Tree Studios. http://www.treemm.com/index2.htm

So lucky! And I'm so glad that there is a selection process to make sure that FANS are getting into the show. But it's not too late to win - I figured out the giveaway times: 8:45 am, 1:45 pm & 4:45 pm.

They tell you when to call - first person to call in with the correct answer to their question wins. Most of the questions seem to center on their early work. Lots of questions about lyrics. There are three chances each day to win, one for each major DJ's shift. They started the contest last week and will go on through this week. I don't know when it ends. Good Luck!

So 99x never called me with information and I was gettting nervous (like did I really win or have I been hallucinating again?), so I went by the station today. They gave me the concert tickets and a t-shirt that says "I'm with the Band". I asked if we had to wear it during the show but was told that they might want us to wear it and get our picture taken for the radio station.

The seats they gave me are section 105, row D. The seats I already purchased are section 117, row H - this section is closer to the stage but the row is further back. So which tickets do you think I should sell?

I got no information on the private performance. Officially they won't tell the location because they don't want the news to spread - oops. And they say they don't know the time yet. I'm just trying to figure out if I can go back home and pick up the rest of my party between shows. Most likely, we get our Laminates the day of the show by showing our picture ID at the gate. But they say they'll call the week of to give details - but they didn't call me before, so would a fellow contest winner let me know when they are contacted, please?

Also, I read a another thread that this was a Meet & Greet. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Hmmm, I was planning on taking my bestfriend. Last time they were here I had bought her a ticket as a birthday present and we were planning on going together with a group. Then I won 2 seats front & center, 8th row. I had to choose between her and my stupid boyfriend. I still feel guilty that I left her back there, especially since she would have appreciated it so much more. So it would take alot to ditch her a second time. Your only hope would be if she can't find a babysitter for both day and night.

They are giving away 99 tickets?
Well, one pair of tickets (2) x three times a day (3) x monday thru friday (5) x two weeks (2) = 60 tickets given away on the air.

So who gets the other 39 tickets and how?

Yeah, she's a fan and the Beasties are a big part of our friendship. We were good friends in high school and then drifted apart but after I ran into her at two different Beastie Boys shows, we realized that we still had alot in common and she's been my bestfriend ever since. Ain't it sweet?
