So i got my tix for the MSG show, well actually four tix. I have two xtras im giving to some freinds and wanted to know which ones are gonna be better. I was hoping for some feedback on the recent shows and others who have seen live music @ MSG. I have one set on the floor in sect 12 (towards the rear of the floor on the right side) and one set in sect 131 (pretty much straight back, two tiers up from the floor). Both have great views from the MSG website, but i'm 5'6" and dont want to be struggling for a view from the floor. When i got the floor tix, i anticipated being able to get into the pit area...was this a problem @ previous shows with the seperated floor sections? or is it a problem with MSG regulars who see shows? dancing will be restricted in the rows, and of course and lately they have been binding the folding seats together to avoid stacking or dispacement. In any event I really want to get up front and be able to dance with a decent view, so i'm leaning on keeping the floor seats. Thoughs?? suggestions? would be greatly appreciated, especially those familair with the venue or the past BBOY shows. And of course, if someone wants to stub me down..I got your brews and the sticky icky. ;)
Thanks....and cant wait..less than two weeks!

I've been to quite a few shows at MSG. Both "Mosh" shows and "Sit Down" shows. I've also seen the boys there. If you're going to rock with the crowd, keep your floor seats, although it's tough to "jump the rail" at MSG, especially from other floor seats.
If you plan on just enjoying the show and going crazy in your designated seating area, take the regular seats, I've sat in that area before, and it give you a great view of the stage.

I hear ya. I've got one in Section 7 Row J and one in Section 104 Row E. Trying to decide which one would be best view-wise.
Is the stage set up high enough so that we can see above the GA pit? Or see around someone who's taller than 5'6"? Or does it come down to 'atmosphere' on the floor vs 'view' from a non-floor seat?

personally im looking for the atmosphere. Im not too worried about the view, but rather the room for movement and ease of jumping around. Im guessing the seats up above will provide less room for this as they are fixed, with the seats on the floor temporary, although binded together. Im still holding out for someone in the GA area of the floor to stub me down for a few so i can get my grove on towards the pit. im not for throwing blows and dropping roundhouse kicks on kids like some assholes are, but i find the pit is the best area to get some room to dance, and once the music starts..it just takes control of my body. In any event, I'll probably keep the floor seats unless my girl objects and try and make my way up front. The last thing I want is to be kicked out of the show for jumping a barrier, but from other threads Im anticipating a mass rush to the front once the lights go down. The last tour i saw them at, I had reserved box seating, and after half a tune i found myself headed right to the front uncontrollably...so im assuming i'll have the same MO.
....so, who's got my stub down?
