Terrorists in Iraq were not there to liberate the country and were not provoked by coalition actions, argued Mr Blair

Of course not, it was jsut bad luck that they WEREN'T FUCKING THERE DURING SADDAM'S REIGN KILLING HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE.

This morning, I caught an interview with Blair on the BBC World News Service (excellent dose of world news, I highly recommend it!) and he was asked to defend his Iraq war position to this day. The interviewer put up a lot of tough questions and Blair was very slick in answering it. Bush would not have lasted two minutes with this kid. ;)

But anyways, Blair is so peculiar. He admits the intel on the WMDs are wrong and he apologizes for it. Yet he says going into Iraq was so damn necessary because Iraq wouldn't listen to the UN Security Council. When posed with the question that the war was illegal, he went to great pains to show how he was acting on the Council's behalf (in a very twisted convoluted way). When told Kofi Annan says the war is illegal, he still finds a way to show how damn legal going into Iraq was. Basically since 9/11, you can't take the risk that you might be wrong about the threat nations like Iraq pose, so you better go to war with them regardless.

Bottom line: Blair admits he's wrong, but he's so right at the same time.

He's living in another strange reality that the rest of the world doesn't live in (along with Bush and others). The only difference between Bush and Blair is that Blair can be eloquent about engaging in horrible acts.
