sad thing is, this isnt' even old news...

the sadder thing is, will electing kerry be enough to stop it? i'm not deluding myself into thinking that ousting bush will be a political panacaea (i have no idea how to spell that word...you know, a cure-all)

yeah...terrible...and its not like the military is reaching for more people...every male over 18 is allready enlisted anyway, and that is only for extreme emergency purposes, which i doubt we will ever have again...

its very plain to see bush is making very poor decisions for america, anyone could do better. why are people so ignorant into thinking change is bad? If kerry sucks (which he would have to try hard to fuck shit up worse than w) then he will get voted out in 4 years just like bush will on Nov 2nd.

no, i see that, and i plan to vote for kerry...i'm just not optimistic about it. the way i see it, it's like being chased by a bear in the woods. you lose him briefly, and find yourself at the entrance of a dark cave. you have nowhere else to go but in the cave, and if you stand still, the bear will catch you. voting for kerry is like taking your chances with the cave...god knows what's in there, but it beats being mauled by a bear

i just think it's ridiculous that voting should be such a gamble. for all i know it won't even be a change.

But not before hurling some molotov coctails at the legislature... those mindless bastards...

All politicians are the same. Kerry wants your vote for the same reasons that Bush does... political power. Only difference is that Kerry has been to war and has experienced the horror that those guys in Iraq are currently subjected to. Difference between those guys and you who will be drafted is that they voluteered to fight, you will be forced to fight.

Hopefully Kerry will withdraw all US forces and only re-enter Iraq as a part of a UN peacekeeping force.

I don't believe that it matters who wins the election, that if some other terrorist act occurs (against the U.S.) then they will start the draft, regardless of who wins the election. Of course Kerry says he wants to pull troops out, but will he really do it. His main concern is to get elected whether he keeps his word or not. Same goes for Bush. Kinda like the old saying goes, "Damned if you do and damned if you don't."

i'm 20. i'm past being pissed, i've found it hasn't gotten me anywhere, i'm giving reason a try now. i know why bush sucks, that is why i am not going to vote for him. i'm not going to bitch at people over a message board about him though (much), that does nothing.

i'm not afraid of change, in fact i'm seeking change, i just don't think kerry is going to be that change. at this juncture, voting for him seems to be the best thing i can do anyway, i'm just not happy about it. calm down

Son you a gullible fuck, if you look a little closer at your link (http://www.congress.org/congressorg/bill.xc?billnum=H.R.163&congress=108) (see sponsor) you'll notice that this is a bill put forth from a DEMOCRAT Charles Rangel (D-NY). It was his gay little way of protesting the war.

To quote from NBC news:

"...the two bills to reinstate the draft that are pending in the House and Senate. But both have almost no political support and both are sponsored by Democrats.

Congressman Charles Rangel, D-New York, admits he introduced his bill, in part, as a protest to the war in Iraq."

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6134043/

But that's just more of the made up, bitchass, leftwing agenda, just like the CBS memo, that yall are so quick to swallow up like some jizzum.

The numbers don't lie: Bush '04 for 4 more ...bitches, it's locked.

I was aware that it was sponsored by Democrats. Just because I don't like Bush doesn't necessarily mean I don't think the Democratic Politicians are a bunch of skeevy fucks as well. I guess I wasn't clear on what I really intended, which was more a hypothetical on if this kind of thing were to get passed. Ignore my original Bush comment.

PS: That's a clever way of arguing. As soon as someone disagrees with you, you say that they are a "gullible fuck" and that they "swallow jizzum." You and sisko should be pals. You can call yourselves the "Inarticulate Short-Tempered (but Surprisingly Inflammatory) Bush-Supporters' Club." Or would that be too "gay" for you? Sorry, this whole thread crashed and burned. Please, admins, lock this shit. Not because people have dissenting opinions, just because the crudeness is going somewhere totally unrelated to the topic.
