The quality gets better with time as technology got better. The really old ones are the worst, but it's stuff you can't get anywhere else. I'm so glad that I could get all that stuff that was on MTV USA in the 80's because they were never shown in Europe (except the basketball/ Yauch skateboarding thingy which has been a big fave of mine). I think it's well worth the money.

I've just bought that DVD set too, am still waiting to get it delivered. At least it seems that it'll be worth it. I didnt' see any of the interviews/tv appearances from the 80's and early 90's so I can't wait...

You can tell that it was transfered over from VHS. In some segments (only a few), it gets that wierd VHS fuzzy line thing. But, it's still worth for all of that footage.

Yeah, I just got the video archives too, but on VHS... definitely worth the money, but if they say the quality on the DVD is the same as it is on VHS, I'd buy the archives on VHS because it's cheaper...

But I noticed I have some stuff that's not on the archives. :p

The positive with DVD is that you can easier jump to the bits you wanna check. And I think he only has it on VHS NTCS (or whatever it's called) which can't be used outside the US.
Oh I have a plenty of stuff that isn't on those, cause they're mainly from the British or Swedish TV. What is it that you have so the hunt may begin?
