Check out this article. Listen to the audio too. Is there some substance to this you think?

----
During the Presidential Debate Bush made what may be his most costly error- he exposed that he’s using an earpiece to help him answer debate questions. In the middle of an answer bush said, "now let me finish" as if someone was interrupting him - yet nobody did - he was talking to the person in his earpiece.
Listen to the mp3 yourself- or watch the video at c-span

Was there a visible earpiece? Could you post screen-caps? I can't be bothered to DL a massive video. It would explain some of his other weirdness, like saying "Can I answer this one?" when he was guaranteed a 30 second rebuttal to each point anyway.
that would explain some of the pauses...

You can go to C-span's website and see the video via Real Player. Doesn't take long took me 30 seconds. Go to 40:30 and watch. I didn't see any earpiece but then that would be downright stupid for him to be using a visible one.

Hes using a top-secret, James Bond one I bet. I feel the English are behind this.
James....let me finish answering...James Bond

I looked at the C-Span feed but judging from the video, I don't know if you can prove he had an earpiece.
Bush had 90 or seconds to say his piece and for all we know, he may have been motioned to cut it short and then went "now let me finish!" I wonder if Jim Lehrer or anyone else was going to him with a non-verbal signal of "time."
No earpiece was visible, of course, but from what I've seen, I don't think what I've seen and heard is good enough to say he had an earpiece or even good enough to say he does not have an earpiece.
Just my observation.

I concur. Whilst possible and would explain some weirdness, the mere fact that it would make sense does not make it the case.

Each candidate could request a 30 second reply to the other's 90 sec (guaranteed) rebuttal.

maybe something like this?
http://www.umm.edu/otolaryngology/cochler.html
Quote - "What is Involved in having a Cochlear Implant Operation?
Cochlear implantation surgery is performed under general anesthesia and takes approximately one to two hours. An incision is made behind the ear and operating with the aid of a microscope, the surgeon drills away a portion of the mastoid bone (hard bone behind the ear) to gain access to the inner ear. A small opening is created into the cochlear. The electrode array is threaded into the cochlea and its outer end is attached to the bone of the skull. The incision is closed and the head bandaged. Most patients go home the next morning. Patients return the following week for suture removal. "
also....JUST FOUND THIS!!!
http://www.cyborg.com.hr/web-item.php?id=35 a mobile phone IMPLANT!!! Not sure of the reality of this, but appears to be on sale.
If these things exist, then you can guarantee that the US CIA / Secret services etc have had this sort of technology for a long time.

Sounds like they expected someone like bush coming along. The implant's ad reads:
Authorized institutions have the possibility of applying wireless blocking to the MPIC for persons who are sitting in on lectures or exams.

Is it possible that George W. Bush has become the electronic-age equivalent of tongue-tied Christian from "Cyrano De Bergerac," wooing not Roxanne but the American electorate with sweet, grammatical poetry fed to him remotely by Ari Fleisher, Dick Cheney or Karl Rove? I'm not the only one to so speculate. Documentary filmmaker Jay Weidner has used wireless earpieces in his work, and thinks Bush is doing the same. "As I watched Bush give his recent speech," he recently stated in an article posted at www.rense.com, "his eyes wandered from right to left and from left to right. It was obvious that he was not reading from a TelePrompTer. Also I noticed that there were long pauses between his sentences. ... As a Film Director I recognized immediately what was happening" -- namely, a concealed earpiece. "Is this what Bush is doing? My answer is a definite 'yes'. During this same speech I watched as he immediately corrected a word that he had just mis-spoken. I have encountered this before during film shoots using the earpiece prompt. This is done because the speaker has gone slightly ahead of the earpiece prompt. He makes the mistake and then hears the correct word in his ear. He then corrects himself and goes on like nothing happened."

Don't trust anything posted in political blogs.
I got the following article off of a Pro-Bush Blog:
Did John Kerry Cheat at the Debate?
Bill at INDCJournal has another long fly ball. Video seems to show that John Kerry pulled some notes out of his jacket while his back was turned to the audience at the start of the debate. Later video looks like he is unfolding something.
Even if they were not notes, (which is what it really looks like) the rules specifically said the candidates were not allowed to bring anything in with them. Interesting.
Go read all about it.
(The video has a FOXNews crawler but it was pool cameras so they all have the same footage. )
If they get flooded, Drudge is hosting it too. My bad, I was packing boxes and I looked too fast. He just links it.
update- I was busy so I trusted an emailer. Drudge does host it. Click on the picture in his story.
See what I mean? Bloggers are the devil. They (like the media) play on peoples emotions. It doesn't matter which side of the political fence you fall on.
To see the article in full as well as get links to the pictures and video, go to, www.wizbangblog.com

When questioned about it Kerry said it was his pen that he removed from it's case.
I haven't seen it for myself but apparently bush is seen pulling something out of his coat pocket at the start of the debate also.
What a bunch of petty shit anyways.
I propose that if bush is using an earpiece that someone flood the airwaves with 120 decibel 2 Live Crew Nasty for the next debate.

Dudes' should of been strappin' a salami in their trousers. :D
Maybe the debates should be changed to a "Who want's to be a Millionaire" style of format. Regis could moderate/ host, each question posed is in degree of difficulty. The candidiates get 3 lifelines, ask the audience, 50/50 and phone a friend. Rather than playing for millions, they play for different levels of power. Let's say from, sandbox manager, to bake sale organizer, all the way up to President.
If they fuck up on the facts, they're gone. This format forces the candidates to research the truth, rather than us, the voters.

I'd take it step further and have blind debates and elections where on election day there are no names or party affiliations, just candidate 1, 2 ,3 etc.
If people only heard the candidate's platforms I'll bet the demos and reps would be out in the first election.
Probably just the battery pack that runs his brain. yeah, you can see the wires running down to his arse.
