I'm leaning towards Bush in the up coming election for personal reasons (I hope this doesn't cause the majority of the posters here to alienate me, or fill my e-mail inbox with death threats). But, I have an idea which lefties and righties alike might find rather interesting.
The upcoming election is going to be one of the most crucial ones in the history of our great nation. As evidenced by all the phony ads put out by stupid@ss 527's and all that other bullsh*t, it seems both sides would be willing to do anything to win. If that's the case than I have a suggestion for both John Kerry and George Bush.
Why not settle this like Americans? Beat the living crap out of each other on Pay Per View. That's right. A good ol' fashioned boxing match. Only this one will be bare-knuckled like Big John Sullivan fought Tom Hyer in the 1840's. I think that's a great idea. F*ck letting us little people vote and pick the Leader of the Free World. Let might make right. Both of them can have a month to train and then come November 2nd they'll get in the ring and go at each other. How can you argue with that? And besides, all the money that the event raises can be used to help out all the soldiers and marines wounded in Iraq as well as provide relief for the families of those killed. It's beautiful.
Now if I could only find a way that Cheney and Edwards could spill each others blood while settling the national debt, I’d REALLY have something going. Any ideas?

If the fate of the election depended on an brawl between Cheney and Edwards... holy crap, Edwards would kick his pudgy ass so bad! :D
Cheney would get a heart attack too. The pudgy fuckhead is so gonna burn in hell.

Not at all.
I'm sick of all this bullsh*t. I want to find out which one of these two morons is following/willing to follow his heart and do what's best for this country and which one is in office/trying to get into office for personal reasons (i.e. - greed, etc.)
It's been proven that a person who truly believes in his/her cause is willing to die (or at least bleed) for it, where as a person who is fighting for greed, or pride, or what have you, will back down a lot quicker.
That's why I proposed the idea of a fight. That and the fact that I think it would be hilarious to see these two fools kick the sh*t out of each other.
you can swear, we don't give a fuck

I agree with you. Edwards would probably kill Cheney, but I think Georgie could take John Boy.

Dude. You're an idiot.
I was saying that I DON'T KNOW WHO TO BELIEVE!!!!!!! I wasn't saying that I believe Bush over Kerry.
As for me doing my homework, I could post a thousand things that I've found out about John Kerry and his service to our country in Vietnam. That's what is disturbing me. Did Bush really go AWOL? Did Kerry really earn three Purple Hearts? Does Bush have his own interests in mind when it comes to Iraq? What DOES John Kerry stand for? I ask myself these questions ALL the time. And to be honest, I just don't know what/who to believe.
Republicans have the reputation of being intolerant and spewing vile sh*t out of their mouths. Well you my friend are a prime example of a vile, hate filled leftwing lunatic. I hope that everyone who posts here isn't as ignorant and closed minded as you.

THIS IS GREAT!!!!!!!
I love it when people who can't argue like adults resort to oversized typing and vulgarity.
All I'm really looking for is a person who can tell me why I should vote for John Kerry. What makes him SO MUCH BETTER then George W. Bush?
To be honest, I think they're the same f*cking person. If Bush was from Massachusetts he'd be a Democrat and if Kerry was from Texas he'd be a Republican. In the long run, they both hold the same beliefs.
Do you really think that Kerry OR Bush is going to pull our guys out of Iraq any faster? Do you really think that John Kerry is really more qualified to lead our nation? In my mind the answer to both these questions is no.
The only person who could have performed well in this time of crisis was John McCain. If McCain had beaten Bush and then Gore in 2000, we'd be a lot better off.
My point is, you can't trust either of them (Bush OR Kerry) and that puts us ALL in a helluva place.

Bush is from Massachusetts, not Texas.
Bush would never submit to a fight, he's a chickenshit. Saddam also offered to settle their differences with a duel, junior's choice of weapons, but our fearless leader wimped out. Just think of all the lives that could have been saved rather than going to war.
I'm sure bush would have lost that fight no matter what weapon he chose.

Its difficult to want to have an adult conversation when a possible solution you offer in choosing a President is to have them Beat the living crap out of each other .

Im glad its for personal reasons, and not for actual reasons.
Um. heres the thing buddie. I don't go into the Beastie Boys only forums, pretending to be a fan, or trying to become one. So don't come in here unless you have a knowledge of whats happening around you. or atleast are open minded about it.
Read up on some of the posts. If you are really open minded about you, I will point you to some real threads. With REAL FACTS, not opinion bullshit.

Did Saddam really challenge Bush to a duel to solve all of this?
what a fucking coward...
Oct, 3 2003 (AP) The world was shocked earlier this week when an Iraqi spokesman challenged American president George W. Bush to a duel. Initally the White House announced that they would not dignify the challenge with a response, but the situation took an interesting turn yesterday. The president apparantly bit through his gag and snuck away from advisors to make a personal response to Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.
"Thank you for coming, I'd like to address this infantile challenge from Mr. Hussein. Mr. Hussein thinks that he can make a mockery out of this administation, well I have two words for you sir: "That's my job." In Texas we have a little saying. 'Challenge me once....oh never mind.' I don't agree to your duel, I'm just too set against senseless violence, it's just...not...right. What I propose is a meeting of the minds to settle this conflict. Yes, we'll settle this the old fashioned way, with a spelling bee. The contest will be officiated by an impartial party, Dick Cheney. The words will be..."
At that point Condoleezza Rice ran into the room and tackled the president, while Ari Fliescher quickly addressed the assembled throngs. "I apologize for that. The president was receiving a dental treatment that required nitrous oxide and he left the room when the dentist's back was turned. He's not in his right mind, and we retract any statements that he may have made. Thank you."
Reaction from world leaders consisted of the usual "laughing their asses off" variety, with most leaders too hysterical to make statements. Canadien Prime Minister Jean Chretien was finally able to calm down enough to comment. "Monsieur Bush was obviously not in his right mind. We continue to stand by the United States and support them, at least vocally."
At press time, all world leaders we attempted to contact were still laughing too hard to operate a telephone.

just try to elaborate your points a little more, and you might get less hassles. A lot of people on this board have gotten to the point where anyone who disagrees with them is another troll. I mean, I'm not a conservative, and I've bashed gmsisko with the best of 'em, but everyone who is a conservative is not necessarily a gmsisko-clone. I've been lax on checking up on this board recently, so please correct me if someone said something that I don't know about that qualified them as a troll.

Unfortunately, otherwise reasonable posters have cited the odd "proven untruth" and thus been labled as a troll when it is only due to a small and understood failing. It is a shame, but here one moronic assertion is enough to get you labled a moron. Fortunately, I am sure the people here (whilst quite hostile, thanks to bona fide asshats like Sisko) are willing to give people a second chance if they post followups that are meritious.
Also, I am a bit drunk.

Are you serious? Edwards just got through tearing Cheney a new asshole about being business partners with the bin Ladens.

Maybe that's what the Governator's banking on.

I'm sure bush would have lost that fight no matter what weapon he chose.
If only he'd accepted. (http://www.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/meast/10/03/iraq.bush.duel/)
The Iraqi leader argued that instead of going to war with Iraq, Bush should participate in a personal duel with Saddam.
"Bush wants to attack the whole Iraq, the army and the infrastructure," Ramadan said. "If such a call is genuine, then let the American president and a selected group with him face a selected group of us and we choose a neutral land and let [U.N. Secretary-General] Kofi Annan be a supervisor and both groups should use the same weapon."
"A president against a president and vice president against a vice president, and a duel takes place, if they are serious," the Iraqi vice president said. "And in this way we are saving the American and Iraqi people." The rest of the article is pretty interesting, too.
Bush has turned his focus on pressing the United Nations to act and stressing that if it doesn't, the United States would not have to act alone.
"The choice is up to the United Nations to show its resolve," Bush said in a speech to Hispanic leaders. "The choice is up to Saddam Hussein to fulfill his word. And if neither of them acts, the United States, in deliberate fashion, will lead a coalition to take away the world's worst weapons from one of the world's worst leaders.
"My intent is to put together a vast coalition of countries who understand the threat of Saddam Hussein," Bush said.
Fleischer would not say how many countries have agreed to be part of any military coalition or what help various countries have agreed to provide.
At least two countries, Romania and Bulgaria, have announced they would allow U.S. forces to use their air bases and resources in a war against Saddam Hussein.
"I think the days of anybody saying the United States would do anything unilateral are over," Fleischer said. "I think it's very clear to everybody what the United States is doing, it's doing with the support of many nations around the world." I hope Ari's got plenty of ketchup to help him eat those words...

I like the idea of them fighting, GW could oil up in real oil and John Kerry could recieve a Purple Heart after every round! And just when it looks like Kerry has George beat a masked wrestler comes into the ring and hits Kerry with a folding chair and knocks him out and then he takes his mask off and it is......Ralph Nader!
