hey ya'll

just got back from the boys at the patriot center and it was freaking amazing- i actually think i liked it better than the 930 club show they did ( i went to that too) ill post again later to give set list and thing like that- for the most part it was pretty much the usual set list but they did played time to build for the first time EVER. they were hillarious as always and im def spent a lot of money. they also played egg man which made me shit my pants! anyways im tired as hell- someone else can either put up the set list or ill do it later

btw- i was successful in bootlegging this concert (i had another post about this its for my friend in the army) and to my surprise it is A+++++ crystal clear quality- im listening to it right now its the WHOLE thing! what a fucking great show i just need to find out how or what program i need to turn my minidisc player files into mp3s- if anyone knows that would be awesome and ill send out the show to people...well im tired later

Thanks for the info bfdc! I'm sure someone will contact you on how to share your recording. I can't wait to hear it.

Did they follow the same type format as the first leg of the tour with two encores and doing Intergalactic from an upperdeck area?

Yeah they played right in front of me! The look on the kids faces when they realized what was going on was priceless! Best part of the night. yeah, same encore and a dedication of Sabotage to Bush. Great gig.

Yes they came up to our section (107) and played Intergalactic, it was awesome! Ended with an encore of Intergalactic up in the crowd by us, then went back down to the stage and played Gratitude and ended on Sabotage.

I dont remember all the songs they played, but im sure someone will have a set list written down. I know they opened with Triple Trouble. Body Movin, Brass Monkey, Paul Revere, So Whatchya Want, Three MCs and One DJ, An Open Letter to NYC, Sure Shot, It Takes Time to Build, Posse in Effect...dont remember what else, im sure someone will have a set list later on...

GREAT show though.

Right Right Now Now was also played....

It Takes Time to Build was unexpected and welcome! Hope we didn't bother anyone by screaming "WE GOT A PRESIDENT WE DIDN'T ELECT" at the top of our lungs. Fucking awesome! And whoever was smoking weed below us please think about those around you. That shit was terrible. Smoke more crowd friendly weed. Damn. I don't have the balls to smoke in public like that but if I did, at least it would be kind! Throw me a friggin' bone here, people.

The show was outstanding. I took my wife for our 1st anniversary, and she LOVED it. We were lucky enough to get down into the pit next to the stage, and the show from there was awesome. MCA did a lot of interacting with the crowd, and it totally boosted the energy of the show. After the show, as the Boys were heading out to the vans, he also stopped to give a few autographs and take some pictures with the fans. THANKS YAUCH!! We appreciate the love, and thanks to the whole crew for giving us such a great show tonight!!

Good show. I had a lot of fun. The best is when they came out to do Intergalactic. I was right there. Literally. I was the first row right up front. I could smell the tofu off of Mike D's breath (well not really). Some crazy girl came and pushed her way through but apologized later so that was cool of her....I guess.
MCA looked tired coming down the stairs like he just got bombarded.

I don't remember the set list but I had no problems with it. More Paul's Booty and License to Ill would have been cool, but I don't really care because it was a great show.

the show was so fuckin' good.

we were in 111 and our seats were great! right on the edge, so we had no one infront of us, and we overlooked all the crazies on the gen admin. floor. but yeah.
they did two encores...and sabotage was the greatest!

i was surprised they did brass monkey...and singing along to paul revere was so awesome!! my neck hurts and my ankles hurt...and especially my voice!

it was my first time seeing the beastie boys and it blew me away...i got so excited when they came onto the stage *i didn't know i could scream at that decible.*

sure shot!! wow...that was great! and they did four songs or so from their new cd and that was great...but yeah.wow.

talib kweli was great. i was pleasantly surprised...cause the only song i had ever heard of his was the last one he played...he's great...and from where i was sitting, hot..:D

the patriot center is small!

and when they showed MMM serving at the hot dog stand i was like oH MY GOD ITS Mix Master Mike!!! and seth was like "man i wonder if he was there the whole time!" it was great!

god...wow...great show.

the beer garden idea sucked....im still high from the show though..

The show at GMU was unbelievable. Mix Master Mike serving the hot dogs and soda was a riot!! He defintley knows how to get the crowd filled with excitement. I like what he wrote on the record he was carrying with him "GET READY". I saw that and I could feel my self ready to explode! Now, I have to comment on your remark about the 9:30 club show. You have to remember, that show was a "special" performance. It was not meant to have all the glitz and glamour as the show in Fairfax. Just something to wet your whistle. It was funny when everyone started leaving after Intergalactic and then they start playing again. My wife and I were right behind the kid Adrock recognized with the pink tie and headband. My wife also got to squeeze MCA's hand and that set her high as a kite. Once again, it was a great show and worth every penny!

Fantastic show, just like everyone else says. Very rough today, I've been working since 8:30 A.M here in Owings Mills, Md---took me 3 1/2 hours to drive to the show through DC and Baltimore traffic---all still well worth it, although my schlepping of mutual funds is surely hampered somewhat today. teh accapella, crowd singin' version of Paul Revere was so sweet, so was everything, great show. I'd love to get a Audio copy of the show, i took some really bad video with my camerphone...let me know...thanks...

I was sitting in section 130 in the very front by the rails, and during the dog show adrock sat down like 3 seats away from me and was talking to this chick who was a part of the dog show or somthing, but i takled to him for a lil before he had to go.... It was the best concert i have ever been to

Where were you all located at the show?

I was up at the front on the floor (1st row)..far right..in front of speakers..green shirt, kacki shorts

(the one doing all the crazy signals before the lyrics were said like swinging hittin a homerun before adrock said "beat ya'll down with a wooden stick ya'll" in shake your rump.

I was also the one very into the gratitude song, basically immitating all of adrocks jumps from the live "gratitude" video on the dvd

hope you all had fun!

p.s.- i think i got high walking back to my car in the parking lot because all i smelled was weed! (y)

I was up in section 116... Seating section, yet awesome seats...

What completely made my night was that me and my girlfriend came down early from MD and like E. F. Hutton said had to brave all sorts of traffic through MD and DC...

But anticipating that we left mad early and in turn got to the Pat. center mad early.

We decided to walk around just to check things out and low and behold, back behind the loading docks there was a basketball hoop set up. At first, because of the clothing, I thought it was teenagers playing, but then apon closer look it was none other than the three MC's all just messin around shooting some hoops.

Then we started walking back towards the car to drop some things off and some dude with a camera stops us and asks us if we want to make a video request.. I thought it was mad sketch, but I said what the hell. So when they were showing the clips of the fans, I was the guy who requested POW. I was on the phone with my friend telling him that I had just seen the Beastie Boys playing Basketball. All in all they wound up not playing POW. But whatever.

The Show ROCKED!!!! And seeing them ballin and being up on the screen made the night that much more Freakin Awesome.

HEY BeastieFromDC... an easy way to convert those files is by using iTunes. There is a PC version free to download, that contains a decoding function for when you want to convert cd files to MP3s... That may work... you can get it at WWW.iTunes.com or somewhere at apple's website..

I would totally love to hear the concert again... please keep us posted.
