>>>>Hey guys, if anyone is still interested, c'mon down. We need more people, and we may even have some tickets in return for filming if you don't have a ticket.

THIS SUCKS....as the original RULES stated that you had to have a TICKET ALREADY to even qualify....and now the website/Band is so desperate that they are even giving tickets to anybody with a heartbeat and one hand free to hold a recorder?!?!

It's not that I now hate the Beastie Boys for doing this so late ;), but I know I speak for dozens of diehards when I say, WHY didn't you open it up to ANY willing diehard last night, rather than limit it those who already had the tickets?! I'm five hours away, but had I known I would have done the drive this morning just for the experience. Oh well!

Now let's just hope that the band actually RELEASE something from this show - those at the Oakland 'Hello Nasty Tour' stop (the final two dates on that tour, I believe) will recall quite well that they were filming those shows for a Live Release....and I have yet to have the pleasure of seeing the end result of what was a kick-ass tour!!!

This being said, I do appreciate that the band was even open to inviting fans to participate like this. Have fun to everybody at tonight's gig!

Just got back from the show. I never thought I'd see the show from backstage. We started off in the 300 level and by the end of the show I was on stage and got a setlist. This was the best idea for us loyal BBoy fans. Gotta love the band that loves their fans......

PS - John and Mike - Please give me a copy of the Scro96 tape (fyi, camera 33 (ie, Patrick Ewing)) - as I'm 100% positive it is the best footage you got tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again!

That was a great experience! I was trying to get some good shots from the crowd so I missed a part of the action on the scene. I think there were not enough posters announcing that there would be some filming because many people asked me if I was making a bootleg of the concert and other people just didn't want to be filmed.
The playlist was huge! They played just about every songs that are on the top of my list.

well i never submitted my name. and i'm glad i didnt,, there was no way i would've been able to keep still and get and steady shot of anything. i was jumping, dancing, screaming. one of the camera guys was in a section right next to me. i wouldnt want to pay over a hundred dollars for a pair of tickets and then have to stand still in order to record. but i'm glad other people were willing to do it for the dvd.

I was at the show last night which was absolutely amazing. I think having the fans taping the show was a great idea. It will be so interesting to see the fans viewponts throughout the stadium. I think I was in front of dzagar and I know he must have gotten some great footage. The whole vibe of the night was fantastic. The whole section was dancing and singing like crazy! Truly an amazing concert...can't wait for Nassau... ;)

i hear ya, but i didnt let it stop me. hell, when i wanted to bounce, rock, roll and skate, i let loose, the b-boys don't care.

oh, and the paycheck will cover the cost of a pair of tickets easily, thats the best part...

I didn't let loose while filming, I should have. I was so far up that it was hard to hear the music. I wanted to, I should have lol. I hope we do get a free copy of the DVD. It would be cool for each of us to get what we recorded but that won't happen.

Remember when Money Mark came in downstairs while we were all getting prepared for the concert? That was funny. I was talking to someone trying to figure out te camera a bit and looked up and there he was talking and then leaving. He's crazy on the keyboards, love the flips he does.

Needed a couple days of rest to take all my thoughts in about the show and filming.... Nice meeting everyone, from all over.. It impresses me all the different type of people that are fans at every show I go to. All in all the show was great, though my section (50, you know who you are) was lagging.. I had a camera in my hand and was jamming out more than just about everyone behind me.. It was great talking to everyone in line and actually getting to be part of this project.. Some random thoughts...

Anyone filming expect a bigger encore after what John was talking about?

Half the crowd was more excited about the yankees fan than Talib Kweli.

Also his mic was too loud.

Show was great and seemed to run a little longer than what they have been.

For everyone filming at the back of Gate 64, Forty Five year old tank top - I love the troops guy- was just crazy.....

Would have liked to hear more Paul's but wouldn't we all...

They really had tight security getting into the pit...Looked like a couple tryed but no one got through.

Anyone else wait at the loading exit and get pictures with the band as one of the other posters?

All in all a great show

Hey, I remember you :) People really digged your name too lol.
I expetced a bigger ending too.
Yes, the crowd went nuts over the Yankees more than Talib, lol.
Who waited at th loading exit and got pics with the band? Was this after the show? I stayed a while hoping the Beasties would come out but then I gave up. What happened?

Thank you to EVERYONE who came out to do this. The worst part of the night though for me was having a turn a few people away. I am sorry about that, we just didn't have enough cameras, and some people were late so we had to take alternates. It was a little crazy, last minute, etc, BUT I think it worked out pretty well.

It was an amazing show and I can't wait to see what footage Jon D. pulls from it.

did the camera people get the 3 ccd cameras or regular consumer shits.

Beastie911

We had the regular Sony Hi-8 consumer models.

Their actual filming crew had the 3CCD cameras (this included the images broadcast during the show w/fans making requests for songs).

Hey guys! I was so glad to meet you all. I'm the chick from Seattle that was wearing a grey hat. I hope my footage turned out okay. I had 2 beers and a champagne so I think it was probably pretty crappy. I turned the camera on myself at one point because I was so excited. I probably shot some horrible footage of like the inside of my nose or something. Ugh. :o I suppose I shouldn't have had the drinks but I was so shocked when the guy came through the crowd selling it. You can't do that in Seattle, if you want to drink you have to go to the beer garden. I just thought it was so cool that I could sit in my seat and have a beer and watch the beasties. And I didn't even have to get up to get it, people were bringing it to me! Amazing.

Oh well, I was just excited to get the opportunity and to meet all you guys.

Hi everyone!

It was nice meeting everyone, sweating w/ everyone downstairs, and hanging out w/ you behind gate 64. My seats were crap, but I think I got some good shots. Had an older man dancing behind me...thought that would be cool. I'm sure that there are probably a few bouncy-make-you-sick-shots, though. Anyway, I 'm the one who asked the stupid bathroom question and had to keep kicking men out of the women's bathroom...

Anyway, thanks to everyone who put this together! It was a great experience.

And, yes, I was looking for a bigger finale. No one budged when the center lights went up...I thought they might come out again even after the roadies came out...

Cheers,
Michelle

No. Were you the one before or after the show? It happened twice. Anyway, ain't no big thang...

Can't wait to re-live the show when the DVD comes out! The camera was a bit distracting, but I enjoyed the show nonetheless. I think the fact that my seats were way off to the side made it more difficult to understand what was going on. I couldn't see the screens and the whole glasses exchange thing was blocked, so I couldn't figure out what was going on. And I wasn't drunk like Christina. But don't worry...I caught up later on that night...

there was definitley atleast one official cameraman there. If you watched the hip hop honors n saw the guy filming them who was dressed as a clown n wearing a hardhat, well he interviewed me n some other people before the show so atleast one was there that i saw
