I've had some great times in my life, but the show Saturday night at MSG was absolutely incredible, mind-blowing and just a fucking good time. I was excited to begin with to be in the New York area, then when we got to the show early (7:30) I knew I'd have a nice long wait to get real pumped. I bought 4 Budweisers, 2 for me and 2 for my girlfriend, then ended up going back for a Heineken for her and a Sam Adams for me. Needless to say, I was pretty fuckin buzzed but that only added to the fun of this night. Talib Kweli was way better than the last time I accidentally saw him (De La Soul's like, 98 or 99 tour) but the dog show was pretty stupid. I've never in my life been to a concert where the entire crowd was freaking out about as much as the people right in the pit were. And I do mean pretty much everyone, from the pit to the floor to the upper levels. Speaking of the upper levels, that's kind of where we were, section 226 which is one level up. So after they played ch-check it out and walk off, everyone's waiting for the encore right. Now I don't know if they're doing this everywhere this tour but what happened next was one of the greatest moments in my life. Intergalactic busts on, and we hear rapping but no one besides MMM is on stage. Finally I looked behind me and, I hate to say but I'm not totally sure if it was adrock or Mike D, but he was right there, no more than about 30 feet behind us. Needless to say people were going nuts, and I couldn't manage to climb up enough chairs and get through everyone to see very well, but it was fucking great, what a cool surprise. This show was absolutely great.
