I see shit all the time saying "Support President Bush and our Troops!" and the yellow ribbons right next to the W '04 stickers. Maybe it's just me, but this really pisses the fuck out of me. I think back to the Republican convention and all the delegates wore purple-heart bandaids, making fun of Kerry's war injuries. They were giggling and laughing, and saying all Kerry had were scratches! What a pussy! He went to Vietnam and fought for America, but he came home way too early!
But yet, we still support our troops.
...as long as they offer the same opinions as us, otherwise we'll make fun of them.

Yeah, "We support troops that support the President."

"We support happy, un-dead troops"
Dissent is unpatriotic.

You know it is possible to support the troops and hope they come home soon but disagree with all the bullshit lies that keep them there.
As for those republicans that make fun of Kerrys vietman performance (or whatever they were doing to piss you off) but expect us to support the people who are fighting today, all I have to say is that everyone is guilty of hypocrisy at one time or another. But that doesn't excuse it.

All troops who defend America deserve our respect... UNLESS they're Democrats!
Jeez people, get it right! :p

The "troops" are fighting an illegal war. While it might not be their fault, that is how it stands. They are no more "evil" than German soldiers / Luftwaffe pilots / Japanese Kamikaze / etc and yet regardless of my nationality, I'd not support any of the above. Infact, maybe it is because I am an "unpatriotic liberal lefty", but I'd be opposed to all of the above, regardless of my nationality.

Meh, maybe they were under the impression the US wouldn't do it again, as they have do on so many occasions? Or should all those Nazi soldiers not have been prosecuted? They were just following orders? Double standards in the land of hypocrisy...

I felt the same way, so I went out and got a bunch of those ribbons and I got all my friends to put them right next to our "Kerry/Edwards" bumper stickers. I truly support anyone who is doing his/her duty even though I disagree with the old mostly white men who sent them.
Also, have you noticed that people with the W'04 stickers on their giant pickup trucks like to drive at or below the speed limit in the left lane? And they can't park within the lines?

Nope. I've just noticed they tail me, give me dirty looks, then cut me off. And I go 5 mph over the speed limit pretty much all the time, so it must be the Kerry sticker.
I have noticed that most of the W'04 folk are white. I've seen a good 30 bumperstickers this week, and not one was a minority. About half of them were fat, and the other half were talking on their cell phones.
Not to generalize or anything, but W supporters are fat white aggressive driving bastards around here. :p

I think you can generalize when you notice a definite pattern. They're all old white men here with the W'04 in really nice vehicles. Old white women have the Kerry stickers, and drive slow, but in the right lane. Younger Kerry people like me drive perfectly, except for a few neo-hippies in crappy compact cars, but you gotta love em.

About the only generalization I've noticed about all bush supporters is that they never smile.
Guess they have good reason not to.
