Hey everyone,
I was at Worcester last night. I bought one of the Hoddie sweatshirts. I asked the guy for an xl or xxl. For $50 I shoulda checked it out but i didn't til i got home! Guy gave me a large! Doesn't fit! Anyone know if there's a way to return this $50 gem for an xl or xxl? It was sweet show tho from my sec. Sorry others didn't have as good a time.
Thanx,
Jeff

I really don't mean to be rude, crude or socially unexceptable but looks like common since on your part will have to prevail. Don't you think you are stuck with that Sweatshirt unless you put up on ebay or somewhere's similiar?
Maybe some here might buy it.

No receipt. Where or who would i go to to return it? I figured I was pretty much screwed. I'm gonna try and make the drive up to the canada shows and exchange it there, not sure if I'm gonna be able to tho. Would anyone be willing to try and return for me at a show? I have 8 shows on cd from various tours (only vegas from this one), a couple Skratch piklz vids dmc finals videos, etc. I just don't know how not to get burned by someone on here :) Then I'd be a real tool gettin' burned 2x's!

did they issue a receipt? She didn't buy this at a department store for christ sakes. She bought this at a traveling show/concert. That is like buying something at a carnival.
The only way I foresee this person getting some cash back is if Yauch or one of the boys sees this post and feels sorry for him/her. Kind of like the tipping stituation in one of those short vids in the tour blog.

Hi,
I'm a him/ he :) It's totally not the $$$ It's Da shirt!!!! :) I wanted that sh**t so bad! Well, it definately doesn't feel good losing $50 either, but I'd almost shell out another $50 if i was actually there buying it, and making sure it was the right size!

did you pay for it with your credit card? if so, you can contact your bank, see who issued the charge and get a phone number, and then go from there......
but always make sure you get a receipt......

I would cut the sleeves off and make it into a swea-T-shirt. Very cool. Then I'll give you $5 for it.

I never seen concert merch people issuing out receipts....

If yo upay with Credit Card they are supposed to. Ive seen it and experienced it...
Yeah yeah, most people dont pay with a credit card. And if you do have a reciept, how is that supposed to help you after the fact? It's not like he can go return it the next day. You just need touse your brain and read the tags before you walk away from the merch table.

Easy Crusher...no need to get all up in my grill...I in the first place wouldnt have paid $50 or a hoody. and it can help you after the fact if you do what Valvano suggested.
Whos up in your grill? Relax. And for the record, the hoodie isn't $50 its $45. And Valvano's suggestion really isnt gonna work for him because he paid in cash and he doesn't have a receipt.
So yes, in a perfect situation if this person did pay for the hoodie with a credit card, and still had his receipt, and had a place to exchange it....he'd be all set. But, he doesnt. So he's fucked.
My man Seth just offered $26.50 I'd take it.

believe me I learned a lot of lessons! I've been to tons and tons of shows! I've never had this prob. Every show I go to from now on I'M CHECKING EVERYTHING :) I can sit around all day and say I'm retarded for 1. Spending that much on a sweatshirt 2. For not looking @ tags! I was just looking for a miracle I guess. I tried emailing the bboy store on this site, but I'm guessing they just have nothing to do w/ those sales. They haven't responded yet. I'm not gonna sell it yet, I'm trying to have someone return it at a show. Either friends or people around here. I figured someone would be all over those shows or MMM stuff, but whatever :) I'm hoping to get tix to Montreal, but not sure if I'm gonna have the $ or time from work.

That being said though, ziljin, if you make it to another show and you've kept the shirt unworn and in the same condition, you'll usually find the merch people pretty cool about swapping it.

thats true if you paid cash and failed to get a receipt, but i just cant imagine any vendor refusing to give a receipt if you ask for it, surely there are some consumer protection laws out there requiring a vendor to give one when requested.
why don't you post to the admins your situation, you were given the wrong shirt, and you would like to exchange it and need help tracking down the vendors for the bb shows. i highly doubt this info is "top secret". i am sure there is some central warehouse or dist center and if you put a little effort into it, you could probably mail it to them and get the correct size mailed back to them. but dont wash it, or alter it, etc until you check out this option

go to another gig, with it on, say u got from the other vendor the wrong size, and ask for a bigger size.

Huh? You guys went where?
Anybody else think Micodin and Sethomas are the same person having a converstation with themself? Heh heh! I'm waiting to see a regular from this board step up to the plate to offer to help out; I'm assuming some of the regulars here could be trusted with such a task.
Or just mail it to Minton in Australia, and he can exchange it, when the Beastie Boys go to Australia in 2008....
I can't see a merch person giving out a receipt either, nor can I see a fan asking for one; although, I suppose a credit card would have that paper trail on the spot, since you have to sign something. It's a moo-point (to borrow from Joey), if cash was used.

Hey Seth,
That'd be sweet! I'm looking for xxl or xl. I was just gonna mail it to someone to return and pay for shipping back. That'd be even better if we swapped. If large is to big then I could just mail it to you. If you want to email me we could figure something out.
Thanx,
Jeff
