got a nasty nitric acid burn at work right across my fukkin wrist

the picture quality really blows but its quite a bubbly burn and deep as fuck and will scar to a darkish red and will be all lovely and jagged

so now to all the viewing public it looks like I tried to slit my wrist some time in the past
sweeeeeeeeeeeet

Hold on, the story is a little incomplete here. How did the acid get from the bottle/test tube/jar to your skin? What were you doing that needed the use of nitric acid?

Acid is nasty :(

I've got a slit-looking wrist too. I put my hand through a window once.

I work in a geochemical lab and I use nitric acid a couple hundred times a day

I was just changing the bottle on a dispenser and residual acid in the tip squirted on my arm
and of course it hit the exact spot where my lab coat and my gloves met so there was some exposed skin
of all the F'in luck but Ive gotten acic burns before just not this hugey Mchuge

and thanks for the sad faces guys

beth and brodie: :p

is his name Bill O'Rielly?

bad joke.

i work with chemicals all day at my plant......
you actually can fuck your company up big time ($$) if they aren't supplying you with the proper PPE (personal protective equip) and if they don't have MSDS books readily available for you to check out chemicals danger levels and how to treat. As well as proper training.....

if they DO all these things, they can actually fire you for not following them.

I've had an acid burn before and I'm sure one time we weren't supposed to get something on our skin because it discolours it, it's on the palm of my hand, this teeny weeny dot thing.

Or it could be a subconcious bullshit excuse for a marking I don't like :(

Hope your arm calms down a bit Heiress, looks nasty!
