Man this is way to hard I can barely remember my name!!!
Channel 4 (UK) just a few weeks ago (ICA London gig), yeh I got one!
Yauch, big respect for checking in while you're on tour, I am looking forward to Wembley on December 7th - you will all get a warm welcome from us British, although I am a little disappointed you are playing Scotland on December 4th, I had planned on inviting you all to my wedding then!
Still, glad the Scots get to see you though...
Cheers

MTV Europe during LTI, think it was the Monterey Pop Festival (Winter 87). If I recall Adrock was wearing a "conductors hat". No Sleep Till Brooklyn performed. The "Final Countdown" interview was from then?
Arsenio Hall show was dope during CYH (Spring 92). Perfomred So Whatcha Want with B-Real, I think. You had green hair.
MTV with Duff & L7 during CYH (Summer 92). I think was for a whole week.
Yo ! MTV Raps (dr. Dre & Ed-Lover) with RUN DMC performing Here We Go. When Ricky nails his head on the monitor. That shit was funny. Late '91 early '92.
Yo ! MTV Raps with F5F (1989-90). Your Sisters Def rap with Hurra beat boxing. World premiere for Shardach video featured. Walked down Chrystie St.
Joan Rivers Show 1987.
Check Your Head--MTV News (1992). Clips from Pass the Mic and BBoys talking about new album.
The flight of the Beastie Boy flag when signed to Capitol.
MTV Raps with Dr. Dre (Summer '89). Think it was for the whole week. I remember Adrock singing Sweet Child O' Mine. Lots of funny stuff from that.

I think the show was called SuperRock or someting like that. The show only lasted for three or four weeks. In my opinion, the best MTV produced show of all time, except for maybe Liquid Television.
Beasties were on SuperRock around '93 I believe. They were floating on a boat being interviewed by someone, but I can't remember who. That was the first time I saw the video for Grattitude. Still my favorite Beastie video.

being that yauch doesnt post everyday, actually i think this may be his first new thread and not simply a reply, i assume this is a serious thing that he wants to know so i'll also assume if anyone had enough clout to get a sticky around these parts it would a member of the band.

They were on Gonzo with Zane Lowe (Kool Savas) the other month. And Adrock just had the best hat on.
I think I have a video on my PC with Yauch talking about 'lucky ducks' saying some random foreign shit, and then tapping his head. I don't know what actual interview it was, but I have no idea what he said. I can find the video again if anyone wants to see.
yeah I remember that, it was on Beastiology. Yauch said that they were like Fucky the Lucky Duck (?), tapped his head and said "knock on wood, you don't know..".

what's up Yauch! coincidentally I was watching my DVD-R of the 2004 tv appearances last night since life can get pretty boring here at sea, especially when the internet is down, like last night. I have stuff dating back to 1987-2004. but here's a few that weren't mentioned (i think) in some of the posts:
MTV's 120 Minutes (May 1994) ..don't think anybody mentioned this
MTV News Clip (May 1994) "Ill Communication" (yauch talks about building a moat around the studio, etc.)
MTV News Clip "Lollapalooza '94" (Mike D is making juice on the juicer and boasts "i feel invigorated!")
MTV's Alternative Nation (Sep '94...Luscious Jackson introduces the world premiere of "Sure Shot", preceeded by a clip of the Beasties talking about the different layers of sound on Ill Communication, japanese sound that is muted on all tracks.)
MTV News Clip 1998 (Kurt Loder interviews Mix Master Mike, shows his technique on Hendrix, also talks to Yauch briefly)
MTV Ultra Sound: Tibetan Freedom Concert 1998

TV6 belgium, a interview before the Vorst national show from may 1 and a short bit from a song. the interview was pretty great with the beastie comenting on 5 record sleeves of old belgian artist, and even played some Basketball
just saw an interview which i believe is circulating around the dc hub with adrock from 92. don't think i saw it before. got the soul assasin so what'cha want remix in the background. anyway he says some cool stuff and he's really mellow (for different reasons) and it all ends with him talking about how it all sometimes feel like it's all about to end..but that he'll still be here in 2000. if anyone know the name of the show or whatever post it here (y). and for those who hasn't seen it, see it.

my favorite was when the beasties did SNL and elvis costello came out
my 2 favorite artists
it blew my mind
I could have put maybe five things on the list. You people are incredible!
If you never saw the SNL 25th Anniversary or saw it years ago, get it. I checked the DVD out from the library on a whim, and I was scanning through the salutes to bad seasons, etc. (the part where Bill Murray sings "Waterfalls" to Drew Barrymore is priceless)
And then half way through, Beastie Boys and Elvis Costello come on and do Radio Radio (one of my favorite songs). What struck me was that Adrock looked soooo happy, which is how I would look if I got to play keyboards in Steve Nieve's place! The other two looked totally cool, but Adrock had this apeshit grin on his face like he couldn't believe his luck.
I didn't read off of the responses but I somewhere have a video tape of you guy on I think it was the David Brenner show. Or some show. All I know is during one segment, Yauch is playing the guitar and singing Bruce Springsteen's "I'm Going Down" and then show a metal plate that you stole off of a building. I'll have to dig that up.
The tape also has the commercial of the BBoys walking down the steet singing "Old Aung Zyne" or howthehellever you spell it.
Now that I think of it, I think the tape also has you guys announcing the nominees for the best something of the year on an awards show. Y'all came out with Hurricane and a boom box playing PE I believe. One of the nominaees was "Billy Billy Billy Billy Billy Idolllllllllll"....

In New Zealand '95 you did an interview with a program called Newsnight, the interviewer was a stoner named Marcus Lush if I'm not mistaken. Adam H wore a yellow shirt and went "OI!" to the camera. I remember that cause they replayed the "OI!" every week on the show.

But right on that moment he's got his right hand's fingers exactly in line with left hand's fingers making them look totally weird.

If this counts Mix Master Mike was on John Safran's Music Jamboree 2002. John Safran got mmm to sign a contract not to pick up on his girlfriend.
The story behind it was that safran was going on about he's the biggest fan, having all their albums, wearing a volkswagen badge around his neck, even starting up his own beastie style crew. Then he met Hurricane down in a club Melbourne when they were there for the Check Your Head tour, and instantly Hurricane tried picking up on Safran's girlfriend, Safran was pissed but Hurricane gave him 2 tickets and back stage passes for the following nights concert.
So the next night him and his girlfriend went backstage to meet the beasties, and Hurricane gave some excuse saying the beasties didn't wanna be overcrowded so Hurricane and his girlfriend left to go into some other room.
His girlfriend came back looking like she'd just had sex. So Safran would've been like wtf? but didn't care at the time coz meeting the beasties
So ever since he's been convinced Hurricane slept with his girlfriend, so mmm signed a contract saying he wouldn't hit on any girlfriend he had, lol..... at least he met the beasties

I remember MIKE D playing drums for DINOSAUR JR. when they performed their collab with DEL on Arsenio Hall's show back in early '94.. I'm not sure that Arsenio knew who Mike was...

How many presentations the Beasties did on Late Show???? I remember they've already played Live At PJ's, Sabotage and Ch-Check It Out.
What about Saturday Night Live?? I only know about their "Sure Shot" and "Radio Radio" with Elvis Costello performances.
Is there any other performances than those mentioned??

How big the file is? If it wasn't large you could upload it by http://www.yousendit.com/ , but if it's large it would take too much of your time.
The second possibility is the hub.

I have some problems with communicating what I mean.

paul's boutique is by far the best beastie album. they couldn't make that album today with having to pay for all the samples. it's the best and features a lot of old school samples. i also found a website that sells old school t-shirts that the beasties sampled and has a beastie tribute as well. it's www.manifestworldwide.com be sure to ch-ch-check it out.

Hello there!
I'm ressurecting this thread for one good reason.
I need to download these tv shows that I can't find anywhere.
If a good soul out there could help me I'd appreciate.
I know I've created a thread a while ago asking for these same shows but I only received a few links and since I'm a noob, I wasn't able to download the videos. Now, if you guys could upload'em it'd be so so so much better.
Anywayz, these are the shows I'm looking for:
Sabotage on David Letterman '94
Sabotage live on MTV VMA's '94
Sure Shot, Ricky's Theme and Heart Attack Man on SNL '94
3 MC's and 1 DJ on SNL '98
That would be all!!! :D
Thanks in advance folks!

I think Yauch was the resident Beastie historian and was just trying to compile a list for the records book, or he had an idea for a project, or he was just popping on the boards to see what was out there.
