Your right about the dirt. Everything has been so over investigated that it would all be older news than Bush's guard service. In reality all the stuff on the Clintons wasn't really all that bad. Problem was more with the way they dealt with it. Even Whitewater, they should have said, "Yeah, it was a bad deal, we were mislead just like everyone else. We didn't realise it until now and if anyone would like us to return any money we made, though we don't think we made any, we'd be happy to." End of story. Same with the Monika thing, if Bill would have just told the truth we'd all have forgiven him, I know I would have. Hell, he a man isn't he?

Lanny Davis, big time Clinton and now Kerry supporter wrote a book that says it all: Tell the truth, tell it early and tell it yourself.

they should have said, "Yeah, it was a bad deal, we were mislead just like everyone else.

"We were misled, the intelligence was wrong. But because we were misled, that makes the war (fought for the wrong reasons) and thus our policy (which was based on errors) right!"

Perhaps they didn't use the "we were misled" line because they knew it was feeble bollocks, and thus illustrated more common sense than either you or the current administration.
