View Full Version : Question for Bush supporters -

I was wondering, what would it take for you to stop liking Bush? I mean, he's done so much shit that's wrong in my opinion, I'm wondering what he would have to do to lose your vote. Some people think he's done no wrong, and even when given evidence of things that have gone horribly wrong, have brushed it off.

So what would he have to do this election in order for you to look down upon him?

Lose an election. Remember, it is only treason to criticise a SITTING president.

Here are some guidelines in helping along with criteria and decision making. Does Bush demonstrate any of these traits?

Wrong, he has in actually done shit wrong. Hell the UN doesn't give opinions it gives facts, and claims based on facts.

Know what I love? The "Power of Pride" bumperstickers. I keep thinking to myself "Jeez, I coulda sworn that was one of the deadly sins..."

But if I say it outloud, I'm unpatriotic.

If he totally forsook his morales and was for abortion, and renounced his faith in God, he would lose my vote. Of course that doesn't mean i would vote for Kerry. I probably wouldn't vote at all.

You know what's funny? After Bush's re-election and when the draft is eventually brought back, a lot of these kids will eventually find themselves in either Iran or North Korea, perhaps even Syria, shitting their pants and killing poor people.

If any one mass-murdered Iraqi men women and children it was Saddam.

Ace42
10-19-2004, 01:53 PM
<sigh> If you look at the figures, the US army killed more people quicker than Saddam did.

Saddam's average works out to about 10,000 a year. In desert storm the US was about 100,000, and in the current war about 20,000.

So, at best that makes the current Bush worth two Saddams. Saddam could've been twice as bad as the US make out, and STILL not be as bad as Dubbyah.

Sorry, but your argument does not hold water.

And that is even discounting the fact that the 300,000 deaths in 30 years is a statistic that is considered to have been widely exaggerated by the US (incubator babies anyone?) and ignores the likliehood that the mass graves are civillian bodies caught in widespread US bombing, and also leftovers from the Iran-Iraq war.

As for the Halabja Kurd gassing incident, the US war college and other intelligence services think the shell came from *IRAN* not Iraq, so that also effects the tally. And Kurds are not "Iraqis" in a conventional sense, they occupy land between 3 different countries, they were armed by the CIA and were perpetrating terrorist acts against Saddam's government, and most Arabs hate them. Most of the arab nations supported Saddam's campaigns against Kurdish insurgents, including Kuwait.

Killed more people quicker meaning that our (U.S.) methods are more precise and humane. Killing soldiers is not the same as mass murdering people (mass grave that was recently uncovered).

Queen Adrock do you meet the following criteria Y or N:

No for all of them. I believe in God, my parents are happily married and I had a good childhood.

Ace42
10-19-2004, 02:07 PM
No, burning people alive is not humane. Quicker in that the US killed 20,000 people in one afternoon. That does not mean "they took less time to die."

And little Iraqi children aged 9 are NOT soldiers. And read my above amendation. The mass graves are over-hyped and taken into account. My statistics take these into account, they are based on US / international figures, and thus if anything they are GENEROUS to the US, not overly critical of.

Dropping a clusterbomb that is capable of taking out an area the size of a football field is NOT "more precise" - nor is the fact that of 7% of electrically guided missiles used, over a quater of them missed their targets altogether. That is ALSO overlooking the fact that a lot of the "targets" were based on false intelligence LIKE THIS WHOLE GODDAMN WAR.

QueenAdrock
10-19-2004, 02:08 PM
You dopn't have any evidence!! All you have is talk and lies. Bush, Kerry, Gore, Clinton, Edwards and Blair all thought Iraq had WMD's. Even Iraq's military thought they had WMD's!

You mean the Government reports that say Bush lies? I guess that's not credible enough, huh. You want Bushy to say it himself? Well, he's not going to admit to shit, so what does it take for you to stop loving Bush ? What has to come out? Government reports come out, you don't believe them, when news programs come out, you don't believe them.

I'm not even just talking about the goddamn WMD's. He's bad on the environment. You know he is. He's destroying the damn world. What does it take for you to care?

Business men and women in a New York highrise aren't soldiers either.

Quite right, however they are a citizens of a country which has attacked an arab nation. The Children in Iraq are NOT citizens of a country which has attacked any nation other than Kuwait 10 years ago, under provocation, when the US government said they'd look the other way in the first place, and nobody apart from Kuwaitis really cared anyway.

Yes the WTC was wrong, but it was small potatoes in compared to the wrong perpetrated against the middle-east by the US.

I guess what you're saying is that whoever kills more people is the most evil?

No, personally I think one murder is more than evil enough. I'm just illustrated how irrational people's methods for attributing "who is the more evil" actually is. Usually it boils down to "the person harming 'us' is evil, and when we do it to 'them' it is sad but necessary" - that is often borderline racism, and is easily a less justified way of determining the more evil than simply looking at the figures.

What about the cause? But I think we've been here before.

The cause is oil, and oil equals money. And as Jesus says "the love of money is the root of all evil."

And who is getting the oil / money? Not dead arab terrorists. Bush and his cronies, and by extension the US people.

So, follow the money, and it leads back to "the root of all evil" - Dubbyah's oil connections.

I disagree. First of all the "oil money" is staying in Iraq to help rebuild it. America certainly isn't getting it otherwise I wouldn't still be paying $1.88 per gallon of gas.

Ace42
10-19-2004, 02:52 PM
That is wrong for starters. The oil money is NOT staying in Iraq. Why, in a time of economic recession due to 9/11 is Halliburton boasting massive growth and prosperity? Why did CEO spokesmen talking to other contractors boast about how "Iraq has now opened up, and there is lots of money to be made" - 'Money to be made and given to Iraqis' - rubbish. Halliburton has been repeatedly accused of misappropriation of funds and all manner of fraud.

I find it very sad that you trust a liar like Cheney so much when he more than most has proven himself a liar and a perjorer.

And US gas, irrespective of rises, is the cheapest in the world. Check the prices for a gallon in other countries around the world, and then say "oh we aren't getting the benefits"

And remember, oil is also used in the manufacture of plastics. Plastics used to package food, make TVs, every single aspect of western living relies on it.

<sigh> Someone else please continue this, I have pressing engagements. And I hate finding links to Halliburton wrongdoings, I am always spoilt for choice.

On topic with this thread:

I totally agree with you. If anyone thought this first term was scary wait till Bush doesn't face re-election. That's the problem with term limits. There's no incentive to operate in the public's best interests when you don't have to go to the polls again.
