View Full Version : Why Do Jewish People Support Kerry?

I'm Looking your way, Beastie Boys.........

Kerry is absolutely not better and quite possibly even worse.

Kerry once called "Chairman of Terror" Yasser Arafat a "statesman", believe it or not.

John Kerry has openly stated that he seeks to build a stronger relationship with the United Nations [Against Israel], which is controlled and dominated by the Arab/Islamist nations.

Syria was Chair of the Security Council. Libya was Chair of the Human Rights Committee. The UN has passed over half of its 700-plus resolutions against the only little Jewish State of Israel, but has not rebuked one Arab/Islamist corrupt dictatorship, human rights violator, ruthless repressive regime, state sponsor of terrorism, or tyranny.

Why? Why not? They run the show.

The United Nations is an Arab/Islamist, racist, bankrupt organization, both morally and politically, and can not be an honest "peace broker" in its role as one of the "Road Map" promoters and "Quartet" members. It is an organization that created a world stage for a perpetual political propaganda ploy of the fictional "Palestine" nation and "Palestinian" people, by bringing the internal case of Israel's building a security barrier and separation fence against terrorism before the International Court of Justice (or, Injustice). It is an organization that routinely vents anti-Israel sentiments, and anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist statements in its various committees and subsidiaries.

And if that is not enough of a concern, Kerry seeks an alliance with France "to build a stronger coalition and unity" in a desperate attempt at nation-building. France is one hotbed of anti-Semitism, and about as anti-American and pro-Arab as they come. France consistently creates more hostility towards Israel and the Jewish people than Germany, for example, and is a leading force in the EU, another disreputable member of the "Quartet" attempting to dictate policy to Israel.

It is no wonder why the Muslim community backs and supports Kerry.

US Muslims, who backed President Bush in 2000, overwhelmingly support Sen. John Kerry in 2004, a new poll says. Muslims would back the Democratic senator from Massachusetts by 68 percent to 7 percent, with Ralph Nader picking up 11 percent of the vote, according to the poll conducted by Zogby International. In 2000, Bush garnered 42 percent of Muslim votes to 31 percent for his Democratic challenger, then-Vice-President Al Gore.

That's not all. If you love Israel and have a weak stomach read no further.

Kerry has chosen as his Middle East adviser the former US Ambassador to Israel, Martin Indyk. This spokesman for Syria is no friend of Israel's. Indyk recently stated that if Israel wants peace with Syria, then it has to give up the Golan Heights. Kerry's alternative choice was pro-Arafat and pro-"Palestinian" former President Jimmy Carter.

Here is a sampling of Indyk's statements, for the record:

"If you do not want peace with Syria, keep the Golan Heights, but do not expect to have peace with Syria and do not expect them to sit quietly and do nothing and not support Hizbullah," said Indyk, who directs the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institute.

"Don't expect them to simply accept it, because you wouldn't if you were them," said Indyk.

It doesn't belong to Israel, it belongs to Syria, he added.

But Israel must never, ever give up the Golan. Anyone in their right mind who thinks that we need to give the Golan to Syria, should look at a map. Syria is 71,000 sq. miles in area - about nine times the size of Israel. The Golan Heights is 460 sq. miles - that's all - about 0.6 percent of the size of Syria. That's right, less than 1%. So that's what is preventing peace?

Excuse me while I take a few minutes to laugh... The only reason that Syria wants the Golan is so it can shoot at Israeli civilians, like it did before 1967. If Israel wants peace, Israel needs to keep the Golan. However, we can give Indyk to Syria....

Bush, Kerry. Which one is better? Which is worse?

You choose. You decide. Bush or Kerry. Think twice. Israel's future is in your hands.

Here's the part where you post your rant with multiple links and facts :D

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
Zechariah 12:3

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
Zechariah 12:9

that's a retarded post, man. you actually sound like a dumber G.W Bush.

is Russia, France, China or Great Britain muslim? but they're permanent members on the security council, right?

France is no way in hell pro-arab, you uncultured ass.

Muslims support Kerry because anything but Bush is seen as an improvement, since he thinks all but the rich arabs are terrorists.

the Golan Heights are a part of the sovereign nation of Syria. Just because Israel stole it with the rest of the 'jewish state' doesn't mean that it's rightfully theirs.

and you wanna talk about fair? Gaza has 1.2 million Palestinians living in the shittiest conditions with no economy and regular bloody military attacks against it. there are only 8,000 Israelis in Gaza...

1,200,000 vs 8,000

think moron.

I was going to, but then I read this and thought "fuck it".

He KNOWS we have evidence at our disposal to coutner every single one of his points, and without even considering the sources, he has prepared himself to disbelieve every single one of them. Even if we quoted Bush himself, the guy would say "it's taken out of context" or "he never said that."

The guy isn't here to learn or debate anything, and his mind is so blatantly closed (against facts, no less) there is no point.

The guy is thus clearly trolling, and not worth time replying. Like Sisko, this is another one of those "ignore" function jobs.

I just heard jewish people bitchin' about this and wondered if it had any merit...
I figured if i post it here, someone would enlighten me ;)

Yes, I have an open mind. (and yes, I'm voting Bush)
Come on people, do you really need to "Talk Down" to people to educate them?

I am not inclined believe that, however I will give you the benefit of the doubt and apologise. Sorry. However, you'd be more likely to ellicit reasonable responses if you said something along the lines of "That seems pretty cut and dry to me. What exactly is it about this sort of stance that you people take issue with?" and then some sort of profession asking for enlightenment, rather than "Here's the bit where you rant"

That is very unfair. People post unsubstantiated drivel in a very dismissive way, and generally people post neutral rebuttals (and yes some people are much more hostile in the replies than others) and it is from there it escalates. Numerous individuals have said "we are just here to learn" and "we only want to discuss this reasonably" and then dismiss sound factual information out of hand repeatedly, before slandering everyone including all the posters that have managed to keep their composure (under provocation).

Not to mention the high percentage of trolls (Sisko and Capone for example) who don't even manage to do that much - they are also resonsible for the hostility here.

And lastly, this is (according to the right-wing republicans here) a lefty forum for a lefty band. We don't need to catch any bees - if you come here and expect us to disregard our beliefs which are based in well-researched and irrefutable fact, you are going to have to do more than post slanders and distortions. My signature says as much. Personally I argue using facts and logic, and thus I do not need to be nice. I don't care if a close-minded fool stubbornly ignores a truth that is staring him right in the face, it is not my duty or responsibility to educate a hostile and stubborn audience. If my free meal of fact is too spicy for you - then go eat at McDonalds and be a fat pleb, it is no skin off my nose.

My boyfriend is Jewish. I asked him why he supported Kerry, and why his dad supported Kerry. They both said it's because Israel isn't the most important thing in this election. They care for Israel, but they care more about the state America is in at this point. Jewish people are taught to think through ALL of the issues and come to the conclusion they feel is right, as opposed to Christianity that tells you to believe this or you'll go to hell. I find it ridiculous that Christians say that abortion is bad so don't vote for Kerry, but instead vote for Bush who is killing Iraqi children by the thousands. They don't think "Iraqi kids are dying" as much as they think "the Bible says that abortion is wrong!" There's more issues to look at with your faith in mind than just one aspect.

Well said, Queen Adrock. I have gotten a fire under my ass lately about this upcoming election. How can people believe that someone who ran haphazardly into a war is godly? For all his faults, if Gore had been elected, I am fairly certain that 14,000 people, including 4,000 Iraqi civilians, would still be alive. I don't see abortion on the 10 commandments, yet pro-life Bush supporters disregard Thou Shalt Not Kill like it's nothing.

Another point that people fail to realize is that just because one is a Jew does not necessarily mean that they are in support of Israel. For example, I was born Jewish and that doesn't mean that I support the actions of Israel. The fact is that I no longer practice the faith, but I'm sure there are practicing Jews who don't support Israel. The way they got the land was aggressive and harmful, and the way they have dealt with the issue of two cultures living under one roof has been reprehensible. If they did not have the religious defense that they somehow have religious entitlement to the land (in some way greater than the Palestinians), their policies would never be tolerated by the rest of the world.

You have to admit, most Jews are very good at managing money.
It must go totally against their grain to see the way bush has squandered the economy.

It's because they tend to be more intelligent. ;)

Or perhaps, like me, they're terrified of a president and his staff who ardently believe they know what their God wants and they're going to make it happen by any means necessary.

Bush's far too cozy relationship with the religious right, which would destroy the wall separating church and state, is a factor.
Last I heard bush isn't Jewish, the right he believes is "right' is Christen only.
