So I was watching Adam talk and Erin Potts and a lot of the artists about the Tibetan situation.

And it was interesting to hear RunDMC talk about how the FREE TIBET stance should last longer than just one concert.

Seeing all this past political activity was great. Hearing Alanis say that the cause really touched her.

But this was almost ten years ago. Erin is off doing something else. Milarepa Fund doesn't seem to exist. Beasties don't mention Tibet anymore. None of those participating artists from those Freedom concerts are continuing their activism.

I guess it's because of a lot of reasons. And maybe it's because there seems to be more serious reasons like 9/11 happening, President Bush happening, Haiti, Iraq, Israel/Palestinians, AIDS epidemic...etc.

Is peaceful resolution a thing of the past? Is the Dalai Lama continuing an exercise in futility for over 40 years? Is buddhism inherently an obstacle or has the world changed economically in such a significant way, that non-violent means to resolution is impossible?

"What Remains of Us?" (watch it)

I saw 'What Remains of us' and cried so hard... Good to hear that others have heard of it.
