The reason why I started scratching records on my turntable is because of the Beastie Boys and their magic DJ “turntable extraordinaire” Mix Master Mike!
Now scratching with one turntable is really fun and I’ve been scratching a lot of Beastie records, so I wanted to post the tracks in here for you to listen.
This is not a remix but some beat track with some Beastie/Beatles/Fugazi scratching!

hey glad you dug it, download it, burn it, pass it (the track that is), you're scratching really made the track though, there's a subtleness to it, damn i was actually waitin to hear criticisms on it, which i take constructively, but i guess if you guys like it the way it is... by the way, where are you from?

me from the u.s. state of new jersey, cool you from italy, now i can gloat that i remixed a track from somebody in europe HA! cool that you put a link to it on the pizzattack site, but by all means download it, as for the cobra clutch album it's non-commercial in a sense that it won't be available at stores, it'll only be available online, but on top of that all the tracks will be available at all those emusic sites like itunes, rhapsody, napster, emusic, etc. and each track only 99¢ (i don't know the american to italian conversion on that, basically it's $1 american) so far i put one other cd out like that (music to chop your chicken to) (http://cdbaby.com/cd/scubasuit) , GASP! chicken coincidence?) , i figure if i wanted to get heard worldwide on my own terms that was the way to go, okay, as far as the track it's up to you if you want it on the album (it makes it easier to get it up at those mp3 sites) the split is 50/50, here's the math: the emusic companies keep like 30%, the service i work with to get all this up and running keeps 10%, leaving me with the remaining 60% (60¢), if i split it with you that's 30¢ for me and 30¢ for you for each track that is downloaded (WHEW! lemme take a breath!), at first i was like "yeah i'm gonna make money doing this!" but now it's more of a "support the artist" type of thing, if people like it, then dlownload it, it's kinda like saving a tree, except there ain't no trees, just music, hahaha, but hey if you don't want it on the cd that's cool too, i picture you blastin this track at a party and makin people move they booty and in the end that's all that counts...

oh yeah as far as the remixing, it's all done through software, i got cool edit pro (but now i think the company was bought by adobe and it's called audition) and that's all i used to remix, the beat and all those other sounds was from a royalty free sample i got off a cd full of those beats, your track i just picked parts that i thought stood out, then i chopped it up and remade it to my liking (and thank goodness you like it too), i know people who go all out and by the hardware and build these massive remixing rigs, but for what i want to accomplish, i can do it through my pc, and dammit it comes out good... you gonna chop it up? that'd be cool, heheheh, REMIX!!!...

I found it interesting the link you put to creative commons and I think the online download for 1$ is a good start and is some kind of support anyway.
But I know what you mean by saving the trees!
Music needs to be heard like we need trees for breathing, that’s why I have so many songs on my site to download!!
I usually sell my 100% D.I.Y records in some record shops, the record shops get generally 30% and sometimes I have my music distributed in music fanzines compilations. I’d be interesting to know more about the way you can sell your cds online. I’ll pm you about it but most of all could you burn me a copy of the cobra clutch? I’d love to hear it when its done!!!
