The Kerry campaign accused the Bush administration of "telling Americans to keep calm" while top officials like Cheney get their flu shots.
"Once again the Bush administration proves that it is the 'Do as we say, not as we do' White House," Kerry campaign spokesman Phil Singer said.
they failed to realize that Clinton got one too... They're both heart patients.
this is getting ridiculous. both sides come up with the most trivial shit.
(by the way, the physically healthy Hillary Clinton got one too.)

Sorry, did I miss that memo? Since when have the Clintons been "top Kerry administration officials" that have been telling "no-one to worry" ?

More people die of flu every year than of SARS. Google for statistics, I really don'tfeel like it.

Fuck flu shots. The only people who "need" them are going to be dead in a few years anyway, so who really gives a shit? These stupid shortages and the degenerate assholes trampling people to get in line for them, etc. Here's your flu shot, it's called washing your hands before you eat, and don't put your hands in your mouth you dirty fucks.

How Flu Spreads
The flu spreads in respiratory droplets caused by coughing and sneezing. It usually spreads from person to person, though occasionally a person may become infected by touching something with virus on it and then touching their mouth or nose.
"Occasionally", meaning not always. Majority of the time it's aribourne.
Who Should Get Vaccinated?
* all children aged 6–23 months;
* adults aged 65 years and older;
* persons aged 2–64 years with underlying chronic medical conditions;
* all women who will be pregnant during the influenza season;
* residents of nursing homes and long-term care facilities;
* children aged 6 months–18 years on chronic aspirin therapy;
* health-care workers involved in direct patient care; and
* out-of-home caregivers and household contacts of children aged <6 months.
Not only old people. It's like saying only old people vote, because you always see them voting.
Every year in the United States, on average:
# 5% to 20% of the population gets the flu;
# more than 200,000 people are hospitalized from flu complications; and
# approximately 36,000 people die from flu.
Hmm, not a significant number?
Some people are at high risk for serious flu complications, such as older people, young children, and people with certain health conditions, including pregnancy.
Hmm.
So all in all everyone gives a shit about SARS because FOX News said we should. We are all shitting our pants over SARS while the Flu kills a few thousand people.

Someone should develop a fat shot that makes fat people skinny. Being fat is injurious to your health.
