i saw the interview...my SO recorded it, so we could watch it.... the segment was really short, but he made some great points. there really ought to be a cheneygate and an iraqgate.

maybe jon stewart should run for political office someday..... wouldn't be the first celebrity turned politician. has anyone read his book? i haven't bought it yet, just interested in some feedback.

It is absolutely hilarious! I tried to spread it out and read one chapter at a time, but I caved on the third day and just read the whole thing. There are two Beastie Boys references and a ton of jokes about the Pacific Northwest, which I found very funny. Go get it now!

2 Beasties references? I only noticed the one about education. Where is the other?

On page 7 (more of an allusion, really)- under John Locke's political philosophy: "In his Second Treatise on Government, Locke argued government is a voluntary creation by people who give up complete freedom in order to better safeguard their inalienable rights to life, liberty, and property. Locke coceede, however, that 'the right to party' was alienable, and had to be fought for." :D

I remember that. Didn't really think of it as one. Thanks.
