Bin Laden is 'suddenly' caught? Or better yet, is revealed to be in US custody on the day of the election?
The US launches strikes against Iran or Syria?
A major operation inside Falluja which leads to the capture of killing of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi?

Whatever October surprise Bush has for us it will be about FEAR. Either an illusion of more fear or an illusion of less fear. It will not be about jobs, income, health, education, or anything that is real. Fear is what this administration uses and abuses. Be afraid. Be very afraid!
You know the acronym of fear right?

Nice catch D_Raay, you sure come up with the goods. I bought some Gold on a hunch back when Bush came into office. His appointment to office was all I needed to know to realize the shit is going to hit the fan. Boy did it ever, I'd gladly give my profit up for a secure planet.....but it may be too late. I'm not selling. It will double.

A surprise that bush tried to hide that I'm sure isn't making him happy today
380 Tons of Explosives Missing in Iraq
The International Atomic Energy Agency has confirmed a report that 380 metric tons of explosives are missing from a key former military installation in Iraq.
IAEA chief Mohammed ElBaradei is expected to brief the United Nations Security Council later Monday on the disappearance of the explosives.
The New York Times quotes experts as saying the missing explosives are of a type that could be used to demolish buildings, produce missile warheads or possibly trigger a nuclear weapon.
U.S. officials are said to have been informed several weeks ago that the explosives had disappeared from Iraq's Al Qaqaa military storage facility. The newspaper says the site was supposed to be under U.S. military control, but it has been extensively looted and was not secure as recently as Saturday.

Saaaaaaay, weren't there some trucks stopped here in the US that tested positive for explosives? You know, the ones with those Israeli drivers who were quickly shipped home while the FBI insisted there was nothing to worry about?

Can you believe this shit?
In response, the Bush campaign accused Kerry of using the IAEA announcement about the missing 380 tons of explosives to attack the president.
"John Kerry has no vision for fighting and winning the war on terror, so he is basing his attack on the headlines we wake up to each day," said Bush-Cheney campaign spokesman Steve Schmidt.

Do you think any news stations actually tell the all out whole truth? seriously, i'm not arguing here. I feel like i have to watch 6 or 7 different news channels to actually get even half of the story, do you?

You seem to be contradicting yourself, but yes. The American mass media is shit. If compare the large American News corporation, and say that of BBC or Democracy now, or hell even the numbers they give on "The Daily Show" are the majority of the time off. It's scary.

Here in the UK, even if our media is biased, they tend not to lie. That is discounting the tabloids like "The Sun" et al. But they are more like bad satire than journalism.
The BBC has a charteral obligation to be impartial. If there is evidence of it not being impartial, it can suffer extreme penalties from various independant watchdogs.
Although the different news networks here vary in style, they do have one thing in common - they all report the facts, not lies and distortions.
ITV tends to be more reactionary, Channel 4 more liberal. I don't watch channel 5 news (most places can't get it on terrestrial) or the sattelite channels (Murdoch engine, peh)
These and the newspapers, while their interpretations of the facts often vary depending on bias, seldom differ over the "facts" the produce. This concensus means that you can be fairly assured of just what "the truth" is. A lot more so than in the US where none of the stations seem to agree on even the most basic of facts.
But then, our media is well regulated, unlike the US media where if FOX gets prosecuted, they just keep working through judges until they find one that will give them the result they want.

All signs point to imminent showdown: U.S. forces vs. insurgents
in Iraq
BAGHDAD, Iraq -- All signs -- including an uptick in airstrikes --
point to an imminent showdown between U.S. forces and Sunni Muslim
insurgents west of Baghdad, a decisive battle that could determine
if the U.S.-led campaign to bring stability to Iraq has any chance
of success. American officials have not confirmed that the major
assault on Fallujah and Ramadi is near. But Iraq's prime minister
has warned Fallujah that force will be used if it does not hand
over extremists. Associated Press/Robert H. Reid.
