that's kind of the trick of democracy, isn't it? they give us two guys to vote for, then if they do shit we don't like, they say "hey, you voted for it". or, you can say "no, i voted for the other guy", and you can be proud that you vainly did your duty to democracy.

i mean really, exactly what do we vote for? we just vote a guy into office, not about anything he does once he gets there...we're very separated from the actual power in the government....if only there were a way to make representatives accountable.
