sure, What kinda programs ya runnin?
Do you have any hardware?

If you have Acid 4,(the easiest program for beginners, still used by many A-list artist for remixing) you could load the material into seperate trax in the program and edit away. Acid will place everything in tempo and key for ya. It uses this little progam inside to "acidize" the files. Earlier versions of Acid can still do it, but it may take a little work. Demo available at sony website.

My preference is Reason. A little more advanced, but WELL worth it. It basically simulates old school hardware samplers, drum machines, and synths, which is a plus because when you learn Reason, you know most hardware. Beasties used it on there new album. You may need to get this other program to go with it called recycle(made by the same co.). It converts samples into slices so they can change tempo without changing pitch. You only need recycle if you want to change the tempo of the a capella or the beat. It makes it alot easier to work with. If you don't have Reason, download the demo at www.propellerheads.se Basically, in Reason you would load your beat into one of the samplers or recycle the beat for the rex player (another type of sampler) then load the vocals into one of the saplers or rex. Then, if the beat isn't fat enough, you can add a drum machine and program another beat to go with it. All of these machines are in reason. Let me know what happens.
Hope this isn't too confusing. Don't give up, before you know it, you'll be a jammin mofo. Oh yeah, you need a really good computer for these programs.

If anyone needs help with Reason or any other progarm or hardware, just post and I'll see what I can do. I love helping people achieve their goals.
(I hope I didn't shoot myself in the foot)

PEACE!!!!!!!!

sorry, I don't. I bought the ones I got. I really liked what they did, so I had to support them programmers. Plus you get cool perks, like samples, refills, and such. I'll see what I can't dig up.

Peace!!!!!!
