A reasonable thinking person, after reading the Bush v. Gore argument in its entirety as well as the ruling would conclude that the Florida Supreme Court screwed up their state's electoral procedure.

To paraphrase;
Gore: "I want a recount."
FL Supreme Court: "Recount the 'undervotes'."
Bush: "That recount shit is wack."
Gore: "No, it's cool."
US Supreme Court: "No, it's wack."

Bush was never 'appointed' by the Supreme Court.
Bush never 'stole' the election.
