Everyone should try baked beans on crumpets, it tastes amazing because all the juices soaks into the the crumpets :cool:

The wonderful Texan columnist Molly Ivans was in London last year and I caught an interview with her on some chat show and she said something that as a Yank in ye olde Englande made me chuckle. I don't know as I can recall it word for word, but let me paraphrase:

"Y'all over here have some funny behaviours I like to call 'Impenetrable British Mysteries'. For example...beans on toast. I mean - WHY??"

I always put pepper, curry powder, tomato ketchup and butter into baked beans.
