Hi,
My name is Lisa Downs and I'm 21 years old from
Sydney, Australia.
I know the Beastie Boys are into Buddhism so I thought this would be a good place to plst this!
I recently completed a documentary
called "Lost Children Of Tibet". I visited the TCV in
Dharamsala, India, and filmed in and around the
childrens village, also interviewing Jetsun Pema.
The film documents the life of the children, and how
they are keeping their culture alive until they can
return to Tibet.
The film recently was accepted in the New York
Independant Film Festival (Nov 11-21st) and is being
screened at 4pm, Nov 13th, at Village East Cinemas. I
am hoping to sell the documentary to donate more money
to the village.
I am trying to gain as much exposure for the village
as possible, hence writing to you!! I am flying to New
York to promote my film, and I would love for you to
attend the screening of my film. Tickets are $US10.
I would really appreciate any support I could get, as
I want as many people to know about the village as
possible, as they rely soley on donations.
