I just bought Beastie Boys Tix on monday for the 11/12/04 show at nassau coliseum. I'm really excited about going. Always been a fan but I love love love the new album.
but here's something about the ticket sales that really bothered me.
bought tix on monday from ticketmaster - asked for best available seats - got section 207 row J.
then thursday checked again to see what seats they were up to - got secton 102 row b - best seats ever - yay.
but what got me mad was that the better tickets were available so late - how could they sell the crappy seats before the good ones. Now I have to sell the 2 extras.
I called ticketmaster and nassau coliseum to find out what the deal was - both gave me the same answer
the promoters hold the good seats until the last minute so that people who bought crappy seats earlier will jump at the chance to get better seats -which increases ticket sales - and poor brooklyn chicks like me get stuck selling the extra tickets because they are non refundable - is'nt that mean or am I missing something.
p.s. they told me that they still had tons o seats left - and the concert is less than a week away - poor beasties - hope they arent playin to a half empty house - cuz the new cd definately rocks.
