Is it fair and just that a single body ....NO no i mean MONOPOLY... control the sale of ALL tickets to ANY event? ... Yes TicketMaster THIS MEANS YOU!!!!!
I saw the boys on monday night in TO.... they were incredible ... and Kweli was great too....B-girls were awesome.... However, the choice of venue (Air Canada Centre) was a bad decision. I dont want to sit politely in my assigned chair listening to Beastie Boys.... an all general admission venue would have been better. After purchasing tickets not more than 1 minute after the pre-sale opened I got 21st row SEATS  ... which were offered at the same extorted price as floor seats. Upon arrival at the show, there were many empty seats far better than the ticks i purchased......WHAT THE WHAT !!!!!.... anyways... Thanks for the great show guys...Toronto Loves You ... Don't Forget About us
In short TicketMaster you make me sick! (n)
Peace

They aren't going to play small venues (which is what an all-genadmin show would be)and lose money to make you happy. Sorry.
You should've been quicker, went to EBay, traded with someone who wanted a seat, etc.
What you shouldn't do is whine.

I'm not sure what your problem was.... I got my tickets the first day of pre-sale... all you had to do was wait until ticketmaster.ca site stopped crashing from the high volume and GA was available.... I think I got mine about 2.5hours after opening. If you really wanted floor tickets you could have got them... scalpers, trade on ebay... all you had to do was put a little effort in and quit whining. It's not ticketmaster's fault your lazy and chose not to put any effort into seeing the best group in the WORLD.

Do you want some cheese with that whine?
Just kidding, Ticketmaster has always been evil, this is nothing new. But they seem to be the only ones capable of doing the job. Pearl Jam tried to do it without them, but it just didn't work.
I also forgot to bitch about the insane service charges they have. Chicago tickets I think had an $8.75 service charge per ticket....WTF!!!!!!
And then there are the $7.00 12 ounce beers at the United Center!!!!!!!!
Bastards!!!!!!!!!!!

i agree Ticketmaster is evil, but it was still a great show, and i'd pay whatever i had to to see the Beastie Boys again.
I just wish i'd been on the floor instead of up in the 300s. I'd rather be standing and jumpin with everyone than just sitting kinda bobbin my head to the beats. I also couldn't hear what they were saying most of the time. :(
But knowing the lyrics helped a little haha

That's nothing compared to the $4.00 CANADIAN I had to pay for a bottle of water!!! But, hey I'm not complaining, I got to see my favorite band and it was hella worth it!!!
Oh Wahhhh! Does Mommy hold your dick when you piss. Take that silver spoon out of your mouth and ask Santa for the bottle. I was in the 300's and loved it. -EMC

I'm not complaining about the show, it was incedible!! Just a little ticketmaster/venue venting!! Two things way beyond Beastie control!!
Chuck
o.k. I'll take that back. But still ask Santa for the bottle. -EMC
