Why is Bush still spending the lives of our kids in Iraq? There were no WMDs. The US Government openly admits that now. Saddam had nothing to do with 9-11. The US Government openly admits that too. Iraq did not support Al Qaeda. The US Government openly admits that as well. Saddam did not gas the Kurds, the Iranians did, during the war the US created by first supporting the Shah of Iran, then arming Iraq to invade Iran after Khomeini took over.

It should be clear from the battle in Fallujah that the people of Iraq, whom Bush claimed we were bringing freedom to, want to be free from the Americans.

When I joined the military I was required to be an adult of legal age. They do not allow kids in the military. It is a VOLUNTARY thing. THERE IS NO DRAFT! THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE SIGNING UP FOR! Just because you are too much of a waste of space with a lack of the balls it takes to do such a job, doesn't give you the right to call these brave MEN and WOMEN kids. Don't take this personally but I am 39 and a person that is 18-20 years old is a KID to me. And when I was that age I also thought I knew a lot............like the difference between a supercharged and a turbocharged engine; how to do a slick-n-quick single leg takedown for my wrestling club in college; and how to pick out and set up a killer audio system.

But none of that taught me much about how the WORLD operated and how very complicated it can be. 90% of this for me came from just living those extra years. And, how extreme power and greed for money can drive people to twist the truth and outright lie to others, even when the potential for death is involved (especially when the people doing the lying have no clue what it means to face death or to have arms, legs, or eyes blown away & be crippled forever).

I'm an army vet as well. I also worked in Kuwait to issue-repair weapons for the soldiers going to and from Iraq.

I'd hate to tell you this American but yeah, I did find the majority of soldiers as being kids. I found them to be that way when I enlisted for my whole 8 years I was in.

Dont get me wrong though, there were some highly motivated soldiers out there but.

Foreign journalists are claiming much less than 600 insurgents have been killed and that civilian causalities have topped 2000. It's estimated at least 75% of the insurgents left Fallujah before the invasion.

Personally speaking, I find that the people that exhibit NO child-like qualities are also the most close-minded, unimaginative and boring people I know.

But mostly, it's the close-minded/unimaginative part that worries me the most--IMO such people are also the easiest to manipulate and mislead.

Of course, one can also go too far the other way & act so childlike they can't keep a job; they get pissed-off because the world didn't give them everything on a silver platter; or they won't take a stand when things get rough.

So, I think to be a successful person--whether it's being an accountant or a musician--one has to find the proper balance between these two extremes. In other words, this is one of those grey area/fuzzy/judgement call sort of situations. And figuring out such situations is where a good imagination is a very useful thing.
