I'm putting my money on Wolfowitz.

I heard he's going to resign too, but I don't remember where I heard it, nor am I completely sure it's true.

I would hope Colin Powell, but he's probably not going to stay long enough.

Cheney resign? Never. He's calling the shots and telling Dubya what to do. The only way he'll leave the White House is on a stretcher. Powell won't be coming back and besides, Cheney and all of the neo-cons hate his guts.

Okay, I have this thing partially figured out:

Cheney is the President of the Senate, but he is not there all the time. The guy who is in charge of the Senate when the Vice President is not there would temporarily take over Vice Presidential duties until the President picks a new second in command. His choice would have to be confirmed by the Senate before he is actually sworn in.

So whoever Bush picks would be the new veep.

Hope that helps!

Touche! And it would be yet another neo-con, the Senate Majority Leader (http://frist.senate.gov/)!

I didn't mean Cheney would resign. I think everyone knows that will never happen. I was actually talking about Ashcroft, and all the other Cabinet members rumored to be leaving.

As far as I know only Ashcroft is leaving (health problems) and Powell, the only person in this administration who actually wasn't insane.

None of the neo-cons will be leaving. Unless of course they have a falling out with Cheney, which is extremelly unlikely.
