This is amazing and very hopeful! Bev Harris http://www.blackboxvoting.org and Ralph Nader had a press conference in DC today. They have teamed up with http://www.ballotintegrity.org/ and have set up a 527 special fund http://helpamericarecount.org/ to buy recounts. They worked with Bev Harris's lawyer who is an election specialist attorney. They have found a little used law that allows a recount if it's requested by five citizens who voted in that state and did not vote for the candidate who won. The state wants a down payment of ten dollars a precinct, so they need money fast!

Send to the fund http://helpamericarecount.org/ All the funds are for recounts and will be prioritized by the most suspicious counties first. It will be about $200,000 to recount Ohio, which is the first target because it has very provable anomolies that show massive fraud- Bev says, "Very strange and impossible math"; then Florida.

If you go to http://helpamericarecount.org/ or www.blackboxvoting.org and can't get there, it's because their website keeps getting shut down and they keep having to put it back up. They are going to have to switch to a specialist host; a company who specializes in protecting websites that are under attack constantly. So if you can't get there, keep trying.

Also, there is a woman who has, on her own, filed for a recount in Nevada, using the same law.

And, Ralph Nader is going to pay for a recount in New Hampshire to audit the Diebold machines there.

About the Help America Recount Fund from their website:

http://helpamericarecount.org/

"The Help America Recount Fund is a new 527 fund affiliated with BlackBoxVoting.org and the National Ballot Integrity Project. The sole purpose of the Help America Recount Fund is to finance presidential ballot recounts in Ohio, Florida and elsewhere, for the 2004 election. For more information, contact us at info@helpamericarecount.org. Or you can reach us at Help America Recount Fund, Law Offices of Lowell Finley, 1604 Solano Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94707-2109"

All this info came from Bev Harris on "Unfiltered" on Air America Wednesday. Go to http://airamericaradio.com. Scroll down to Air America Audio Highlights. (These usually only stay up a day or two). Look for Unfiltered (November 10th, 2004) "Bev Harris, founder of blackboxvoting.org talks to Unfiltered about her latest efforts to look into potential voter fraud, and offers some hope that we may indeed get a recount before the electoral college officially re-elects Bush. Listen here." (link is on Air America website)

Of course with good news, bad news inevitably follows--

The new ruling in Cuyahoga County mandates that provisional ballots in yellow packets must be 'Rejected' if there is no 'date of birth' on the packet. The Free Press obtained copies of the original 'Provisional Verification Procedure' from Cuyahoga County which stated 'Date of birth is not mandatory and should not reject a provisional ballot.' The original procedure required the voter's name, address and a signature that matched the signature in the county's database.

Lovegren described the clerks as 'kind of disturbed' after the new ruling came down. She said that one of the clerks told her, 'This is new. This just came down. They just changed it in the last thirty minutes.' According to Lovegren, 80 yellow-jacketed provisional ballots piled up in the hour and 45 minutes she observed. By Lovegren's tally, three provisional ballots were rejected because the registered voters' registration had been 'cancelled.' The rest, she said, were being discarded because of no date of birth.

In 2000, an estimated 9% of Ohio's provisional ballots were rejected and not counted, according to Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell. Many election observers are predicting the number will be much higher this year due to directives from Blackwell's office.

An earlier analysis in the Free Press of the 155,428 unofficial provisional ballots recorded at the Secretary of State's website found that a clear majority, 85,096, came from the 15 counties Kerry won. An additional 17,038 came from urban Hamilton County, home of Cincinnati, and Wood County, where Bush won with 53% and 53.5% respectively. Traditionally, Hamilton County's provisional ballots are disproportionately cast in the African American majority wards of the central city and not in the affluent Republican-dominated suburbs. Thus, nearly two-thirds (65.7%), or 102,134, provisional ballots come from areas where the provisional ballots are likely to be pro-Kerry.

The official county-by-county board of elections' final tally will begin on Saturday, November 13, the 11th day after the election and be completed by the 15th day. Following this canvassing period, 11-15 days after the election, an automatic recount would ensue if the gap between Kerry and Bush narrowed to less than one quarter of one percent, an estimated 16-19,000 votes, depending on how many are actually counted.

Thanks for passing that along D_Raay! Still I'm enraged about the timing of it all. It's sick and makes all the difference. A little law there... need $200,000... THAT IS WHAT IS THE WORLD IS HANGING ON? That it is and has been like this, just infuriates me to no end as to where the fuck people's heads are and were ever at. When you know, you know... and with proper means expediciously show evidence and justify the means to the lawful end. Not play political manuevers that negotiate and starve justice that in being serves the criminal elite in the mean time... that again, easily show the iniquitous... and get a fucking move on. People don't deserve to live in this country and call themselves American the way it is. All these people with money and justice can't ever ever ever ever be done. What does that say? Retorical! I'd be happy to civically fight for my country. I know too damn well....

And I must say thank goodness for Ralph Nader!!!!!!!! But what a sick Constitution and Bill of Rights we have to have him in the position he's always in in these wrought rotten state of affairs. Doesn't anybody have integrity and belief in this country and the fundamentals of freedom...!!!!! I don't see 'em but in vain for lip service when they can get it. Yes, that includes every and anybody Right Right Now Now.

Do what it takes and follow all the way through...it's the only way... justice has been impeded in myriad and macro ways and the effects on the human state is catastrophic...

Like when they have the audacity to debate the Pledge of Allegiance in schools and things of this nature, the very goodness of our nation, and people, children see this and of course without better sense, figure it to what, have some superseding quality that brings everything to a stand around...hhmmm I just don't know right from wrong. Then the media takes it as a valid reporting event. AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH What the fuck. Where oh where could the true American's of today be?

I incorporated a little bit from my gestations there, but that's it.

Prove that he is..... Not to disagree with you or anything, but you're the one arguing the point. Burden of proof is on you.

And yes this kicks some ass, only took us 4 years to figure it out. Expect heavy opposition. This is one battle, hardly the war.

I'm just pointing out how stupid the anti-Nader arguments (http://www.google.com/search?q=nader+ego&sourceid=mozilla-search&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8) were/are.

Besides, check the sig V
