MAC USERS: how to get on the hub.

Apparently alot of mac users can no longer access the hub. I had this problem as well, my DC stopped allowing me to connect to it. What you need to do is get a program called DCGUI.. i don't know all the technical mumbo jumbo i just know it has something to do with quicktime mimicking something or rather, HA, like i said i dont know how it works, it just works. (the program is balls but hey, it does the trick)

Does that program assist DC++ in conecting to the hub or replace it altogether? What I mean is, can I just throw out DC++ after I get this new one, or do they work together?

this works by itself, i dont have panther so i can't run a DC++ client in a simple way, there is a tutorial on how to get dc++ to work in the early versions of OSX but i dont really see a point..

Hi guys sorry i just found out about this mac problem last night. I changed from Ptotax Hub software to Yhub a few weeks ago because ptotax was using too much system resources and slowing downl my computer. There must be some sort of a problem with it. i will see if i can do anything else for you.

In the meantime, I got DCGUI here (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/12740). Installation is more straightforward; just click "download now" link. It'll create a disk image and you just drag the DCGUI icon into your Applications folder. ;)

I've been able to connect and see the user list but when I try to browse user files I get a "send error" in the status column in the transfer window. I'm sure it's some setting that I'm not getting right....any ideas?

Someday I have to make friends with an IBM compatible person and go over to that person's house and find out what this hub thing is. I feel that it is just made up by some of you cruel people to vex me. Like there's this really awesome club I can't get into.

I have the same problem. I think dcgui sucks. I never had any problems with Direct Connect.

i cant use direct connect cuz of that cant recognize tags thing.

Which software has changed? DCGUI? Or do you mean that you changed something at your end that will make DCGUI work for Mac users?

I changed it on my side to newer and better server software So I want to find out if DCGUI works now or what. I havent gotten any complaints or heard anything actually so let me know if you can.

I'm another Mac user and same error for me.

I used to be able to get on the hub with DC, but I haven't had time to go on in quite a while.
