Isn't the real nuts-and-bolts of politics (and I'm not talking about teenagers and their cultural-suppliers accruing fashion points by banging on about the president) the most boring thing in the world?

It's only boring if you think decisions that effect your day to day life and the future of the earth are boring.

Politics are more complex than that. When you learn that, you will be able to make your own decision.
But of course Politics rule our lives, so if you are not interested in life. There is always a self inflicted blow to the head that should fix that right up.

In about 5 billion years the sun will run out of hydrogen and start to expand eventually engulfing all of the planets before it completely burns out and gravity loses control. Then the solar system will be a dark and lonely place with nothing more than dust remaining. That, my friend, is the future of the earth. I am not being an ass either. You can do the research yourself. Believe me, it is going to take one bad motherfucker to stop that from happening!
