it was weird not seeing the place sold out, but they still kicked ass.
opening up with No Sleep was amazing. 5th time I've seen them, but 1st time I've hear them play that live.
Pauli of this board making a cameo was pretty cool. I was like "Hey! I know her... kinda"

They opened with No Sleep til Brooklyn, then Eggman, also played the standards, plus the New Style, All Lifestyles. I have to say their show was TIGHT!!! They were so smooth, I guess because they've done so many shows already on the tour. However, the biggest surprise was how good they are with Live instruments -- Something's Gotta Give was f'in incredible. Adrock is really underrated, MCA's bass on that and Gratitude was outstanding. They gave Mixs Master Mike a huge trophy, brought out by Mark and Doug E Fresh (who also played beatbox to a song, maybe Posse in Effect, i don't think it was Time to get Ill). Also Body Movin was great Live. Was in the first few rows, and the fratboy alchi's got pretty rough a few times, a bunch of crowd surfers -- a few folks got bloody nose and the like, but glad to say it was more the rowdy folks than innocent bystanders that were trying to stay out of it. When I first got there is was like empty, lots of 14-17 year olds, that's all. But by the time the Beasties went on the General Admission Floor was definitely packed, just the whole arena wasn't sold out...Who cares? The crowd was sooo into it..!!! Anyways, no dissapointments at all, great show boys!!!

WOOOOOW! the best concert ive ever been to. or should i say pageant? i was totally flipping out for no sleep till brooklyn and i was yelling EGG MAN EGG MAN and they said for special request theyd play egg man too :) and with shake your rump later they managed to play all 3 of my favorite songs. i never expected no sleep. so excited.
anyone who was there i was the tall blonde guy in the front of GA with the orange hoodie. and i was singing every song, and you may have noticed me yelling for egg man. just so ya know...

Pauli!
it was great seeing you up on the big screen and saying whats up afterwards!
what a fucking setlist tonight! they played "Lighten up" during the instrumental section, that was new for me, yauchs bass during "somethings got to give" was heart rumbling. i loved that they played "eggman" and "no sleep till brooklyn", they really took it back to LTI. they had the crowd singing "paul revere" a capella for the first couple of verses.
during the middle of either eggman or shake your rump they went into "AWOL"
adam h went into "i'm not interested in you anyhow...", Dougie Fresh beboxed (again) and Mix Master Mike got the MVP award for the Pagaent 2004! they gave alot of love and thanks at the end as they acknowledged their last US show on this tour.
MMM played the "clappin, tappin, sound of fingers snappin...." clip and i thought they were going to play Shazam, but they covered TT5B well with triple trouble, check it out, all lifestyles, and open letter to nyc.
lets see, what else do i remember?... so whatcha want, body movin, intergalactic, gratitude, sabotage, hold it now hit it, 3mcs and 1 dj, rickys theme, root down and sure shot...
i got to see the whole show from bobs mongrels and talib kweli until the beasties encore.
what a month: MSG camerman on October 9, saw MMM and Beasties in New Orleans at VooDoo, and now tonight got to be on the floor at the Beasties last Pageant in America.
i also met FattyLumpkin and The Gooch's sister, but Pauli gave a big shout out on the roving camera, look for the tour blog soon!

so it was posse in effect, not hold it now hit it, also i forgot rrnn and pass the mic.
also, when doug e fresh beboxed he went into a line from "Ladi-dadi" and the crowd sang along:
"its all because of you, i'm feeling sad and blue, you went away, and now my life is filled with rainy days, And I love you so, how much you’ll never know.
Cause you took your love away from me...."

I was there also, at the front right corner. Right up on the rail. This concert was awsome.
MCA slapped everyone's hand, including mine.
They were all at their best.

MCA seems to be invovled with the fans the most. i mean he talks on the forums and at the end the other 2 guys just walked past our hands but MCA clapped all of ours. He's the best rapper too in my opinion, the most laid back

one more thing from the Nassau show- the video clips were new- there was a very funny clip of Mix Master MIke taking a huge bong hit and a ninja wiping out trying to do a back flip as he shows off his skills with nun-chucks.

i REALLLY REALLY disagree that its MMM...
ive seen the clip 3 or 4 times...if it was him they would have said it, and i dont think they would show MMM doing that at the show....like all the clips they show, they are just random video clips you can find online.

sorry...after shows people were talking about it, and in an ignorant way. i think it was only discussed on the board once or twice in an old pageant blog. but yea...i dont see it being Mike, a good look alike perhaps.
also, if it was MMM i think after the clip the boys would have said something to him or whatever. the whole point of the clip is that the guy busts his tooth when he coughs.

The best part of the show is when they kinda burst into these popular beats and rapped to them. Like when they did Tipsy, and drop it like it's hot ha ha ha.

The man taking the bong hit in the video is definitely not MMM. It's some fool knocking his tooth out because he's inept at handling a bong. MMM has all his teeth...I think. :D
Not that I would argue passionately about it, but that video is the only thing that I wish the Beastie Boys wouldn't use in the show. I'm not sure what kind of message it sends to the youngsters in the audience.
I thought the clip was showing how stupid people look when they do drugs...considering they are trying to show respect and relate to everyone not just drunk frat boys like their image became after LTI, you don't think they would be promoting drugs. My friend who i went with and I both thought they were making fun of the guy who is doing drugs, since he was all coughing and hit his tooth and stuff, showing how stupid it is.

interestingly, the roving video footage at New Orleans showed a girl hold up a bag of weed and she said "the beastie boys promote weed"...
i remember thinking to myself that the beasties wouldnt want to promote drug use per se, but Yauch does comment on it in this post (http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/showpost.php?p=574632&postcount=20)
and while i'm on the subject, i got a couple of pm's that i will try to answer here. people thought that i started smoking weed again because of the scene in the trip troub vid. it's not real, just thought it would be funny to get weeded with big foot, play video games and then go trick or treating……..

the 3 1/2 hour ride in traffic from Philly was well worth it...The show was awsome...I think I wanna quit my life and go follow them to Europe...my husband might have something to say about that though...They came out 2 different times w/ their instruments I wasn't expecting that....This is the third time I've seen them this year and they never disapoint....Thank You Beastie Boys!

I enjoyed their deft dancing moves, such as "The Weave"
I give the show an A++ with extra points for the bonus quiz at the end...
