you're right about the pit, all visitors will be free to choose which category they like to be in. I spoke to a friend of mine yesterday who went there to see faithless.
He was in 1 hour before opening act and the pit was already crowded, so be early. Same thing with the tix back then.
I'll have a front seat on the balcony and put my feet and a spliff up (y)

Stoffel, i have the same problem! The last train to Antwerpen Centraal from Brussel Zuid is at 23:37. Not sure we can catch the train in time or if me and my friend allready want to go home then :) Maybe we can all take a taxi and pay it together....

Vorst or "forest" is also a city-district, I believe it to be few miles south of city-centre. There should be a subway-station nearby the venue.

Yep! I'm here! And yesterday I've met here Amery(AWOL)! He's was very cool. He' ve bought some old cool rare records here and showed me all stuffs. One CD was Young-Holt Unlimited with a first song an album Soulful Strut! That's very cool stuff!

Hey all from Brussels, managed not to get too lost yesterday! Have been in Grand Place this morning and will probably head out to Voorst at 4 or so. I really hope I can get my tickets early, otherwise I ll end up in the worst seats!
Has anyone used a Belgian keyboard before, they're a nightmare the keys are all over the place - it took me about 5 mins to write this!

I think talib kweli was ok but his soundguy should be taken lessons cause the sound sucked i was in front a little to the right (white sweater and shakin all the time!) and the sound there was bad. But when mmm came on stage it was good. and the bb rocked the place like no one else can. I was there 5 years ago and than it was al littlebit more agressive (maybe because the it was a round stage and twistin') but still lots of people had to go to the backstage for going down. I think it was a verry energetic set with chill moments right on time good for preparing the spliffs, mca was hilarious for trying to be angry at some people for throwing stuff at him but couldn't help laughing with it
hope they don't wait another 5 years before comin back!

the sound sucked

You're right about the sound sucked up front. Bigtime.
I was in row one at the left hand of the stage. The top speakers were hanging right above me in a banana shape and they were aimed just over our heads. I guess the sound was better if you were standing a few meters backwards.

From what Talib was rapping i didn't understand anything because of this, and during the Beasties performance I couldn't hear all the MMM tricks and samples as good as I heared them in the Melkweg earlier this year.
So the sound was a bummer but nevertheless the show was great!!

The lightshow with the LED tubes and moving matrix screens were also awesome (y)

The sound in the Heineken Music Hall should be perfect though...

And... Well... The Melkweg... I reckon we were close enough to hear them directly even if they didn't have mikes :D

when you want perfect sound in a concert don't go standing in the front row, the sound is never perfect there
to enjoy the best sound, go stand right infront(or behind, or close to) the sound board, there houses the soundguy who controls the sound, so what he hears sound perfect for him(and should for you)

indidi i just wanted to jump and being able to see them up front the previous time in vorst i was also in front, the sound was better due the round stage and no banana shaped speakerformations, but still i had a hell of a time and thats what counts, isn't it?
