I'm trying to reach anyone with the Beatie Boys organization...

There's a guy on Ebay who is selling "import" CDs of Country Mike's Greatest Hits. Turns out, the album was never released on CD! I won a copy (that still hasn't been delivered) and just noticed that the guy's got multiple copies he's listing on Ebay. He has some negative feedback from previous buyers who claim that he's selling copies that he burned on his own (silly me for not checking his feedback). I KNOW that's got to be violating some kind of copyright laws... Not to mention he's taking advantage of Beastie fans who think they're purchasing the real thing... What a CROOK! I don't expect to get my money back, but somebody's gotta stop this freak from making money off our dedication to the Beastie Boys!

The guy's Ebay user name is Stonedflower and he's a straight up THIEF!!

You are pretty sheltered on the Ebay way. Thousands of people make their money that way. If the band and record companies aren't going after them then there is nothing you can do.

Just remember "caveat emptor" - let the buyer beware.

The guy's Ebay user name is Stonedflower and he's a straight up THIEF!!the country mike record in cd-r format has been circulating on ebay for ages. it was never released officially so technically there's no loss on the record company/beastie boys side when this record is being sold on ebay, hence no actions taken. but yeah it sucks getting ripped off. try doing some research till next time though before you buy something.

You can complain to eBay about the seller. They'll look into it and stop them if they're doing something wrong (like this).
