they are pretty good. I made a bunch of authentic Irish dishes for St Patty's day this year. Just make sure u add an egg to the mix, it helps hold he potatoes together!
ENJOY ;)

Yeah, they're pretty awesome. I believe they're a Jewish specialty or something... called "latkas." I think that's how it's spelled. Anyways, it's said just like that Andy Kaufman's character on 'Taxi.'
Anyone got a recipe for these? I wouldn't mind trying my hand at 'em.

That recipe isn't for the latke-type potato pancakes. Those sound more like a breakfast type pancake.
One Lithuanian recipe (Bulviniai Blynai):
Mix 6-7 grated potatoes, 3 eggs, 1/4 onion, and a tsp.of salt thoroughly. Drop by tablespoonfuls into hot fat, fry both sides until brown, turning over once.
Serve with sour cream or applesauce.
Although I don't think that's how my Lithuanian G-ma makes them. I haven't tried this recipe but it sounds promising.

This is more like the recipe I'm familiar with; Ive never had ones made with sugar before.
